"Had Cancer Tumor Radical Surgery At Age 60"

prostate cancer radical prostatectomy guy Posted by: Jedmonstone - Prostate cancer radical prostatectomy Survivor
I had PC (prostate cancer radical prostatectomy) surgery operation nine years ago at age 60. We assume that the cancer tumors were all removed and has not, to this time, metastasized for surviving cancer. My PSA testing readings have all been 0.0. That was all good. Was surgery the correct treatment choice? Would I have better choices today? As A post-op cancer survivor I don't know. Would I use the same surgeon? Probably not. I would choose a recent graduate of medical school, not an old school URO.

Am a male and now 81 years. Prostate Cancer detected by PSA test by Doctor. PSA reading went from 0-4 to 12 within 1 year. Rapid. A likely cause of cancer due to alcoholic abuse (am an alcoholic). Surgeon suggested that at the age of 64 the best bet was surgery. One operation, hopefully all the cancer cell nasties disposed of.

Surgery successful after Lucrin and female hormones prepatory procedure. Cancer tumor was malignant (Malignant tumors can invade and destroy nearby tissue and spread to other parts of the body, Benign tumors may grow larger but do not spread to other parts of the body).

Surgery was the way to go for sure. PSA readings decreased over 8 years from 12 down to 0.2 remaining there to end of testing at 14 years. Surviving with a hell of a large surgery cut, don't need to flash it around. Sex activity about normal-no sperm of course. hope this helpful. My kind regards.

"What therapy did you use for your Prostate Cancer?"

Sexual healing from prostate cancer surgery is physical therapy that heals on both a physical and emotional plain. If sex is still a struggle...hang on and keep trying. It may never be what it was, but in most cases you can recover potency from prostate cancer. I hear there is now a new Prostate cancer vaccine .

My surgery was two years ago. Some nerves were damaged. Viagra did nothing. MUSE helped very little for my wife's enjoyment. I now have a vacuum device , combined with the MUSE, which has brought me back to my 20's! I am 60 years old. I strongly recommend the combination of the two. In some cases, the vacuum device might be the solution.
