Was my impotence caused by masturbation guilt?- Posted by anony: I don't think my impotence was caused by masturbation guilt.
Erections returned to normal after a about 3 or 4 times ofmasturbatingbut my guilt never went away. I have felt a lot more guilty than that time and still been able to perform well with hard erections,
it was just when i went a long period of time restraining masturbating that i had trouble.
If my guilt caused myimpotenceI think I would have had a lot easier time stopping masturbating.
Struggling with stopping
I never experienced impotence while I was struggling with stopping. It is also a trend.
This wasn't the only time I have restrained for long periods of time and suffered weak
sexual performance, it was just the most severe case. It seems if I don't keep it in shape I lose endurance and can even become
impotent.
Problem with my obsession of masturbating
Do you have any medical knowledge to answer my question? does your suggesting that it was psychological
mean that there is no evidence that suggests restraint causes impotence?
My reason for restraining wasn't really the
subject of my question but since you asked... I think it is a problem with my obsession of masturbating,
not just masturbating. I don't like how it consumed my thoughts and seemed to be the thing I cared about more than
anything else.
It made me not care about other things, like other people, I only cared about myself.
It also made me have problems seeing girls as anything other than someone to have sex with.
I have debating with myself many times whether it is a healthy or unhealthy thing to do, and I have gone both ways
but most of the time I have decided it is unhealthy for me because the problem i have with getting obsessed about it.
Just masturbate and not be obsessed about it
I have never been able to masturbate on a regular basis and feel that it didn't make my life worse
(make me a worse person as described above) so I don't have a lot of evidence to support this,
but I think that the most healthy thing might be to just masturbate and not be obsessed about it.
Thank you for your response. If you don't have any evidence to answer my question can you point me
in a direction where I might find some?
