"Urologist Said Symptoms About Andropause (Male Menopause)"
low testosterone hypogonadism symptoms- Posted by: Jim I'm 59 years, wasn't having sex very often and I have been experiencing the
following low testosterone hypogonadism symptoms.
Lack of the desire for sexual intercourse (diminished libido - sexual desire)
Sensitivity to sexual stimulation
The strength of seminal sperm fluid during climax was not as strong
Penile erectile function stamina and endurance not there (erectile dysfunction/impotence)
My urologist doctor said thehypogonadism symptomsmaybe all aboutAndropause(also called "male menopause" is a normal part of aging effects in men). Other causes are diseases of the
glands that produce and control testosterone which can cause low testosterone levels.
After a complete exam he ran testosterone levels blood tests on me and said I had low testosterone (deficiency) levels but
no diseases. Since I do haveProstate Cancer,
he suggested Testosterone Replacement treatment therapy might be benefical that included one of the following:
Transdermal delivery (i.e., through the skin) with atestosterone gelor patch is becoming the most common method of treatment for testosterone deficiency in adults.
Mucoadhesive delivery, hormone-replacement treatment that delivers testosterone twice daily through a oral tablet-like buccal system that adheres to the gum or cheek.
Intramuscular injection (IM) is used less frequently because it is associated with erratic testosterone levels
Implantation under the skin under a local anaesthetic, done mainly in UK
What are your experiences of testosterone symptoms & Hypogonadism treatment therapy you used? Any guys using this board that has had any of these testosterone treatments please reply to this message.
Help! Any advice, recomendation and comments would be helpful. Thank You.
The concept of Andropause is more widely accepted in Australia, UK and some parts of Europe than it is in the United States.
Reply by: brothersBoy, I must have started having andropause for over 20 years now and I am 65. Have all sorts of tests done and nothing wrong with me. It just stopped and I don't really think about it nor have for many many years now. There are a lot of men out there that have the same thing.
I don't call it a problem because it doesn't bother me. This condition is just is and nothing more.
Many painkillers compete with testosterone for the testosterone receptors on a man's
tissues and thereby cause a decline in sexual responsiveness; and drugs ...
Has he had his androgen testosterone level checked recently? And if so was the results in the normal range?
A low testosterone level will cause a decrease inlibido
