vasectomy fellow Discomfort Reply by: dan
I don't recall anything more than a little discomfort from the vasectomy permanent birth control sterilization surgery procedure .

I was awake during the operation under local anaesthesia watching the nurses assisting with smiles on thier faces enjoying thier work.

As far as a sexual life, this was one of the best things for a contraceptive other than when my wife was on the pill.

There is no fumbling for condoms or waiting for her to put in the diaphram. Either one of you are in the mood. I also know that my wife was very relieved of not getting pregnant.

My orgasms were the same but I think the ejaculation fluid didn't shoot as much. Although I couldn't tell the difference.

vasectomy sterilization man Best option Reply by: don
I did a lot of research and in the end decided the vasectomy sterilization procedure is still the best option for a contraceptive.

I already have two kids and I wouldn't change that for anything, but also don't want to have anymore children and I hate condoms because I aways lose my erection after putting them on and don't have the best sensation.

I was really only worried about the potential long term complications.

Short term complications I decided I could deal with.

The chance of long term complications is very low. I decided that the risk of another pregnancy far out weighed the risks associated with the permanent birth control vasectomy sterilization procedure.

Future Fertility Reproductive Information
Vasectomy ( deferentectomy ) reproductive health contraception for men, is a permanent birth control sterilization surgery technique ideal for couples who have completed their families.

Reversal surgery is available, but not always effective. This procedure rejoins the cut ends of the vas deferens (a narrow, muscular tube that connects the testicles (where sperm is produced) to the urethra).

In more than 70% of these cases, reproductive sperm can again be found in guy's semen fluid. However, pregnancy occurs less frequently.

The earlier a reversal is performed, the better the rates are for restored fertility.

Sexual Performance Facts Men are able to fully enjoy sex after having a vasectomy. Hormonal levels and the feeling of orgasm stay the same. The amount of fluid men ejaculate does not noticeably change.

A vasectomy for birth control is a simple surgical procedure. There are a few ways of doing it, but the results are the same.

The vas deferentia are tiny tubes that carry sperm. These tubes are cut, clamped or tied. As a result, the sperm can't leave the body to make a woman pregnant.

Compared to the traditional incisional technique, the No-Scalpel Vasectomy surgery usually takes less time, causes less discomfort and may have lower rates of bleeding and infection. Recovery following the procedure is usually complete in two to three days

The procedure eliminates only the male's ability to father a child he can still experience an erection and ejaculation as before.

Leydig cells Doc Doctor's medical advice - Posted by: Dr. W.J. Wolfe - email:waljam@mts.net
The pressure of sperm and fluid in the vas deferens causes a back pressure on the Leydig cells (testosterone producing cells) to degenerate, if the vas is ligated. To prevent this some surgeons leave the vas open to drain into the tissues.

The top end is ligated to prevent re-canalisation . Unfortunately, after many years the body seems to reject the sperm and fluid, and a blister forms in the incision area.

Periodically, the blister breaks draining the fluid, and heals over, only to repeat the process in a week or so.

It is not a painful experience but a real messy nuisance . Applying pads to absorb the fluid, and repeating as required, is not a solution but palliative
