Mobile Hotspots

Moline Public Library mobile hotspots use the T-Mobile network and can connect up to 10 devices at a time. 

Rules of Use

  • Hotspots may only be checked out by the cardholder. ID may be requested to verify identity. hotspot2
  • Hotspots can only be placed on hold by Moline Public Library cardholders. Click here to place a hold on a Moline Library Mobile Hotspot in PrairieCat.
  • Hotspots check out for 1 week and cannot be renewed.
  • Service will be disconnected if hotspot is not returned. Hotspots that are damaged or not returned are subject to a $155 replacement fee.
  • High temperatures will damage battery. Hotspots should not be left in a car or remain plugged in after fully charged.
  • Hotspots must be returned in the MEDIA RETURN SLOT of the drive up book return or the lobby return at the Moline Public Library.  Any hotspot returned elsewhere or in the wrong slot will incur a $5 fine.
  • Overdue fees are $5 per day. Borrowing privileges will be suspended for 6 months for accounts that have 3 overdue hotspot charges. Users that have 4 overdue hotspot charges will be permanently prohibited from borrowing hotspots.
