Captain Idris Wada, the newly elected Governor of Kogi State.Kogi Women Professionals Lagos Branch Felicitate With Capt. Wada Taking a cue from President Goodluck Jonathan and the Secretariat of the ruling People's Democratic Party, (PDP), the Federation of Kogi Women Professionals, Lagos State Chapter on Friday congratulated the new governor-elect of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada. The women expressed their joy at the ushering in of what they described as a new wind of hope into their beloved state. According to them, prolonged rule by Audu has turned the state in an object of national ridicule and a failure. They confirmed the fact that Capt. Wada is the best candidate that the state could possibly get and were overjoyed that he even agreed to contest for the elections at the risk of having his sterling profile tainted on the altar of politics by calculated negative propaganda. They assured the governor elect that the women and people of Kogi State are aware of his true intents and tha

Captain Idris Wada, the newly elected Governor Kogi State, Nigeria.Kogi: The People Have Spoken!~ By Ibrahim Usman.‘The voice of the people is the voice of God’, that adage is from the Greek; the civilization which gave us democracy as we know it today, and the statement was speaking in defense of the principle which accords absolute respect to the decision of the people of a nation in choosing their own leaders for themselves. In this era, it is what the people want that matters and nothing more! That is why it is called democracy: government of the people, for the people and by the people. Where the will of the man on the street is not represented, it becomes an aberration! The people of the Kogi state have gone to the polls to demonstrate their a

Captain Idris WadaWho is Afraid of Captain Idris Wada?~ By Ibrahim UsmanAmericans have a perfect word for it, they call it a ‘cop out’, it is a perfect loser’s way of turning tail rather than stand up for a fight! An incompetent amateur who happens upon a pair of boxing gloves by accident, wants to impress his girlfriend and family members by signing up for a bout in the ring! But unfortunately (or should we say fortunately for him?) before the fight, somebody tells him the bitter truth which is he might end up with a permanently broken jaw. So how does he avoid self destruction, he says the other boxer is not good enough for him and walks away! In a way it is a manner of eating the humble pie and admitting one’s inabilities and facing the truth. But at the same time, it is also very annoying for the spectators who have spent their hard earned money to come see a fight, only to be fed that arrant nonsense! For such crowd, the lily livered fool deserves nothing b

Captain Idris Wada: The Best Choice For Kogi State~ By Ibrahim UsmanAll men are born but not all are born great. The land of Kogi was blessed when Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada was born at Dekina in Kogi State on 26 August 1950. Educated at the Government Secondary School, Dekina and the Federal Government College, Sakata he graduated with a Higher School Certificate. From his School days, he developed very keen interest in aviation, especially in flying as a pilot. His aspirations were met when he gained admission into the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria from where he graduated in 1972 with flying colors, bagging a Commercial Pilots’ license. He proceeded immediately to train for a Flight Instructors License/QFI, which he obtained in record time at Air Service Training College, Perth, Scotland.
