If you’ve done your nin registration for mtn line and have also link nin to mtn sim card number , you can check mtn nin status by dialing *785# on the MTN line.

After you dial *785#, enter “3” and tap “SEND”

If the mtn line has been linked successfully to nin, a message will pop up on your phone screen that will read “Dear customer, NIN has been verified and successfully linked to your line. Thank You.

The message will also be sent to you via sms.

If you do not know your NIN, you can check nin number on MTN line by dialing *346# if you are sure it is the MTN number you used when you registered for NIN.

If you don’t have NIN, you can register for NIN at any NIMC enrolment centres nationwide. You can also visit any MTN office nearby for the nin registration.

Your National Identification Number (NIN) is used to tie together all records about you – demographic data, fingerprints, head-to-shoulder facial picture, other biometric data and digital signature – in the National Identity Database making it relatively easy to confirm and verify your identity when you engage in travels and transactions.

If you want to know if nin is linked to mtn number, I hope this blog posts helps.
