Globacom has announced the launch of “Borrow For Others” on the Glo Borrow – Me Credit service.
This service allows active Glo prepaid subscribers who meet the eligibility criteria, to Borrow Airtime or Data for Friends and Family.
It allows you to request for airtime and data for friends and family when they have run out of airtime or data and you are expected to pay back on your next recharge within a specified period.
You can qualify for Glo borrow for others with any balance in your main account but you need to have been a loyal and consistent subscriber on Glo for at least 3 months and have a good usage history for you to be eligible for Glo Borrow for Others service.
How To Borrow Credit or Data for Others on Glo
You can borrow now and pay later for others by dialing *777# or *321#.
Below is how to use *777# code to borrow credit for others on Glo :
- Dial *777# on your Glo line.
- Enter 9 for borrow credit or data
- Enter 4 borrow credit for other
- You will see the amounts you can borrow
- Enter the number next to the amount you want to borrow and tap send
- Enter the phone number of the recipient
- Tap SEND
The amount they will receive is less 15% service charge which will be recovered together with the credited amount next time you reload.
How Can I Pay Airtime or Data Borrowed from Glo?
You can manually repay the loan by dialing * 321
*9*9#
If you don’t repay your loan after 72hours, your account will be swept off any airtime remaining there subject to the loan taken. You will not be able to access the Service until you pay back the entire amount owed, and it will adversely affect your credit rating which is important for qualifying for higher amounts in future.
