In this post, I am sharing with you how to uninstall Avast Antivirus from your computer, should in case you want to remove it from your PC. Mind you, you might not find Avast listed under the installed programs via the “Control Panel”.
How To Get Started
You will have to download Avast Uninstall Utility.
Download it here ==> http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear.exe
After downloading it to your PC, double-click on the file (aswclear) and run it
You might see a warning that you should first disable the Avast software. Disable it as directed.
You will now see a window similar to the picture below:
Select the product to uninstall and ensure the path selected is the exact folder where avast is installed on your PC. This folder is usually in the Program Files directory. Ex. C:Program FilesAvast
Click the “ Uninstall ” button.
If successful, you should see the “ Program was successfully removed ” as seen in the picture above.
Close the application and RESTART your PC.
That’s all.
You can now install a new antivirus on your PC.
NOTE : NEVER use two antivirus at the same time on a computer.
