Scientists have developed two new blood tests that could help detect colon(結腸)and stomach cancers simply, cheaply, early, and without invasive procedures. Blood samples can be taken by primary care doctors rather than specialists, and no unique training is needed to do so. Colorectal(結腸、直腸の)cancer affects about one in 17 people and is the second leading cause of cancer death in the US and Europe. These blood tests could raise the number of patients who detect their cancers early on, improving their odds of survival.
