EnglishDominance Day
This is the day that officially marks my sense of feeling like my ability to express myself in English has exceeded my ability to express myself in Japanese. (Okay， that sentence is pretty awkward， but hey， at least I recognize it....) Now， I don’t know how true this is. I suspect that it will be more accurate to say that this is the day that I feel as comfortable in Japanese as I do in English. In other words， the day that I can declare myself to be truly bilingual. But coupled with my sense of fear of losing my ability to speak Japanese with comfort and my realization of not being completely comfortable in written Japanese， makes it feel as though it is now my English that is dominant.
