So far, there are only two things I feel I've lucked out by missing the trend.
1. When I bought the current cell phone in autumn 2010
, I thought of buying a smartphone which had already appeared on the market. But somehow, the shop clerk opposed, so I bought a conventional cell phone after all. The latest machinery is always replaced by follow-on models or upgraded
-back then, this shop clerk might have expected so. However, I heard various news about security problems of smartphones, and upshot was a massive scale of communication failure last month. So far, only my sister has a smartphone in my family; she bought one last autumn when her cell phone went out of order. I'm going to consider of buying a smartphone after I exhaust my current cell phone;I want to take care of things I'm using. It's just a matter of timing; I just hope that security is established and ensured by the time I get a smartphone. 2. (See May 31, 2006)
I started this weblog in haste after my favorite musician started up weblog. But when he started using a worldwide micro-blogging service, -he is the one using it thoughtfully- I couldn't understand its mechanism too well back then, so I didn't start up immediately. As I understood the system, then I thought that it might be stressful; I didn't feel like spending emotional strength as well as time. Simply because I cannot handle both this weblog and another microblog while I'm busy enough to manage one weblog. And I couldn't find advantages any more except for following my favorite musicians, so I have just put off starting up. In the first place, I slowed down the renewal of my weblog in 2008
to reduce what I share online so that I'm not stressed out by trying to renew my weblog every day. I started using social networking service which many music people use last year-end, though. And it seems that my hunch turned out not to be wrong: a lot of microblog-related incidents and scandals came up one after another. Thank God I wasn't one of the accomplices. Of course, microblog would be a great media if used thoughtfully, and there are many people who use it thoughtfully. But I suppose that posting too short sentences easily can lead to posting without much thought. And it's too difficult to express everything in too short words. So is to read what they want to express in too short words. That's why they easily trip someone up with their own words and make great fuss about trifles without much thought -I analyzed so
. Since what we post on Internet can be shared worldwide, I believe that I must post statements on Internet attentively
. Meanwhile... another news came to me that there are many people getting stressed out due to microblog and social networking by being too sensitive to evaluation online and numbers of followers, seeing negative postings, ...blah-blah-blah. So I declared that I'm not using microblog when I placed the news about new social networking -this is not present progressive form but indication of intention.
