今東京の消化器内視鏡学会の教育セミナーに参加して帰ってきたところである。
東京から甲府までの車中で野村克也さんが書いた「弱者が勝者になるために」という
本を読んできた。大変面白かった。野村さんは弱いヤクルトスワローズを日本一に導
いた人である。彼は、最も大切な心は、過去のことは忘れて今日のゲームに集中する
ことであると書いていた。
現在のヤクルトは昨日巨人にうち負かされた。昨日の敗戦のショックで今日も負ける
のではないかと思ったが、昨日のことは忘れて今日は勝った。今の真中満監督、高津
晋吾、伊藤智ピッチングコーチなどは当時の野村監督の教え子である。彼らは野村の
教えを思い出したのかもしれない。今ヤクルトと巨人はデッドヒートを演じている。
どちらが優勝するのか分からないが、過去のことは忘れて一致団結して目の前のゲー
ムに集中するチームが優勝するのではないかと思う。

I came home now from Tokyo attending gastro-endoscopic educational seminar.
I was reading a book written by Katsuya Nomura, named "To win the weak person
against strong person" on the train from Tokyo to Kofu.
It was very interesting. Mr. Katsuya Nomura is the person who led the weak
Yakuruto Swallows to the Japanese champion. He writes that the most
important mind is to forget past and to concentrate to today's game.

Present Yakuruto swallows was beaten by Yomiuri giants yesterday, I was
afraid the team will be beaten today also by the shock of yesterday game.
But they win today triumphing over the adversity.
Present manager Mitsuru Manaka, coach of pitting, Shingo Takatsu, Tomo Ito etc.
are followers of Mr.Nomura. They might remember the Nomura's lessons. Swallows and giants are on dead heated now. I don’t know which team become
champion, but the team which forget past failures and concentrate the
today's game with solidarity may be champion .
