　成人式。今年四月から法定年齢は下げられて18歳が成人だそうだ。親離れが早いのは良いこと。しかしながら、何やら行動制限があるようで、ずいぶんいいかげんな法律だ。いかにも今の日本の政治家の考えそうな事だ。一部のマスコミや言論人と称する者が煽動していた犯罪が低年齢化しているという表向きの理由はあるが、つまりは若者からの選挙票ほしさの、さもしさからできた法律だと見るのは、私の下司の勘ぐりか。

　日本の政治家は，学歴は立派でも真の知性が身に付かなかったのだろうか、言論の程度はいたって低い。もっとも、新聞によると、子供の朝の起床が悪いため起こしに来るように救急車を呼ぶ親がいるというのだから、この親たちは親になったとはいえ精神年齢は子供。あきれることばかりだ。

　我が成人式は遙か昔のこととなった。かくいう私自身、拙い生き方をしている。先年亡くなられた美術評論家の柏木博氏の著書のなかに、「（略）いかなるイメージもお手軽に、そして超高速度で見せてくれるハイテック装置を前にして、幼児化するわたしたちのイマジネーションの現在（略）」とある（『肖像のなかの権力』所収「第三部 Ⅰ ハイテック・アートの現在」講談社学術文庫 P234）。現在のように未だAI全盛になる以前の発言（1987年）だが、先見の明というべきだろう。私も同感である。

Today is the coming-of-age ceremony. From April in
this year, the leagal age will be lowered and 18 years
old will be an adult. It's good to be separated from
parents early. However, it seems that there are some
restrictions on behavior, and it is a very sloopy law. It
seems that Japanese politicians are thinking about it
now. There's an obstensible reason that the crimes
that some media and so-called speechists have
instigated are getting younger, but in other words, it's
a law made up of the desire for votes from young
people. Is it my mean's speech?

Japanese politicians had a good academic back-
ground but did not acquire true intelligence, the
degree of speech was very low. The content is empty.
However, according to a newspaper, there are
parents who call an ambulance to wake up because
their child donot get up quickly in the morning, so
even though they became parents, their mental age is
childishness. I'm just disgusted.

My seijinn-shiki (the adult ceremony) was a long time
ago. I myself have an unskill ful way of life.
In the book of art critic Hiroshi Kashiwagi, who
passed away last year, "the image is becoming childish
in the age of AI." It's a statement before the heyday of
AI as it is now, but it should be a foresight. I agree with
him.
