(共同通信) - 10月1日10時58分更新 "インタビュー(音声、英文付)"_______________________________________________________________今日、知ったこのニュース、私はかなりショックでした。 L.A.

Electricity lost across Los AngelesMonday, September 12, 2005; Posted: 5:49 p.m. EDT (21:49 GMT)The power outage knocked out traffic lights around the Los Angeles area.LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A blackout hit a large portion of the Los Angeles area Monday afternoon, snarling traffic at intersections and trapping people in elevators. The city was investigating the cause of the outage. But Sgt. Catherine Plows, a police spokeswoman, said terrorism was not suspected. The electricity went out shortly before 1 p.m., and outages were reported from downtown to the Pacific Coast and north into the San Fernando Valley, an area encompassing hundreds of thousands of residents and thousands of businesses. Some Los Angeles neighborhoods did not lose power at all, and electricity was restored in some areas within an hour.Los Angeles International Airport lost power, but its emergency generator kicked in promptly and no flights were affected, said Harold Johnson, an airport spokesman. UCLA Medical Center used backup generators and reported no danger to patients.Downtown high-rises went dark, fire officials said they received reports of people stuck in elevators, and stoplights went out at intersections across the city. Neighboring cities, including Burbank and Glendale, also were affected. The Police Department went on "full tactical alert," meaning no officers were allowed to leave work when their shifts were over. The blackout came a day after ABC aired a videotape of a purported al Qaeda member making terrorist threats against Los Angeles and Melbourne, Australia, on the fourth anniversary of the September 11 attacks.(Full story)Homeland Security Department spokesman Russ Knocke said federal authorities were talking to state and local counterparts about the power loss, but "there is no indication of any nexus to terror.Heavy power usage can lead to blackouts. But the weather in Los Angeles was not unusually hot Monday, with temperatures around the low 70s when the power went out.An official with the city Department of Water and Power said it appeared the problem began when two power receiving stations failed. That forced several larger generating stations to shut down, according to Robert Rozanski, chief administrative officer. The receiving stations get high-voltage power from the generating stations and convert it to lower voltage so that it can be used throughout the city."We are doing everything we possibly can to find out the source of the problem," Rozanski said.

SEPTEMBER 6--Rapper 50 Cent told federal agents that he fears for his life due to a long-running dispute with a New York drug dealer facing charges that he was the secret power behind one of hip-hop's leading labels. The performer (real name: Curtis Jackson) survived a 2000 murder attempt that investigators (and Fiddy himself) believe was orchestrated by Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff,a convicted Queens druglord. A 2003 search warrant affidavit for the Manhattan offices of the Murder, Inc. record label contended that McGriff was still trying to whack 50 Cent and that he "communicates with Murder, Inc. employees concerning the target." Excerpts from the document, authored by IRS agent Francis Mace, are below. "McGriff is tracking 50 Cent's whereabouts through his network of associates," Mace alleged, with his cronies sending ad hoc surveillance reports to McGriff's pager, which was provided to him by the rap label, headed by McGriff's boyhood pal Irving Lorenzo (aka Irv Gotti). One such urgent field report to McGriff--sent by Lorenzo's brother Chris--noted the performer's presence in his old Queens stomping ground: "50 is in the hood guy r. brewer!" Guy R. Brewer Boulevard is in the heart of McGriff's criminal turf. The Mace affidavit noted that while 50 Cent declined to speak about his own shooting, he agreed to be interviewed about the October 2002 murder of Jason Mizell, Run-DMC's Jam Master Jay. Investigators have examined whether Mizell was killed for defying the "blacklist" of his prot?g? 50 Cent, which was reportedly established by McGriff after he was denigrated by the rapper on a cut called "Ghetto Koran." The Mace affidavit does not disclose what 50 Cent said about the Mizell homicide, but the mere fact that he spoke to probers will surely be used by adversaries, who have tried to portray the star as a police informant. In one monitored text message, Mace noted, McGriff branded 50 Cent "a talking dry snitcher."

The Game's plan to sabotage Tony Yayo's first week sales by urging fans to re-purchase his own Documentary album appears to have been foiled, though the Compton lyricist did benefit from a small sales boost.Yayo's Thoughts of a Predicate Felon hit stores last Tuesday and dropped in at #2 on the Billboard 200 charts by selling 214,687 CDs units according to Nielsen's Soundscan. Simultaneously last week, The Game's The Documentary sold 7184 copies - just 166 more than it did the prior week.advertisementAs previously reported, to disrupt sales of Yayo's album, Game called on all his fans to hit stores and cop a second copy of The Documentary. He sent the message via numerous online forums, including Chuck Taylor's__________________The message read, "The day Yayo's album drop, I want everyone who can to go out and re-cop The Documentary! Anyone who does so can send the album in to The Black Wallstreet offices & I will personally sign it & send it back with a copy of my new mixtape Ghost Unit (Life After 300 Bars). If you can't afford it, don't do it but if you can let's go out & kill these motherfu*ker's until 50 & Sha is Irv [Gotti] & Ja [Rule]. G-Unot!"Hurricane Game's "public service announcement" was also sent out in mp3 format from "the nice folks at Black Wall Street Records" and was being distributed across the web by Game supporters, who vowed to support Game's plan and re-buy The Documentary on August 30th, the day Thoughts of a Predicate Felon was released. The Game's Documentary has been out since January 18th and has sold 2,203,004 sets to date according to Soundscan.

Cassidy is about to be re-arrested on first-degree murder charges. The rapper has been incarcerated in a Philadelphia prison ever since turning himself over to police on June 17 he was charged with the first-degree murder of 22-year-old Desmond Hawkins and the attempted murders of two other men, both charges stemming from an April 15 shooting incident. On August 16, Municipal Court Judge Marsha Neifield reduced Cassidy's first-degree murder count to murder in the third after ballistics evidence indicated bullets came from both sides during the shooting; police alleged Cassidy and two others fired shots on three unarmed men, killing one of them Hawkins. Now Cassidy's case will go before Common Pleas Court Judge Benjamin Lerner, according to the rapper's defense attorney, Fortunato Perri Jr. A preliminary hearing could take place as early as next week. "We'll have a final answer as to whether this thing's going to go to trial or not, what the [official] charges will be and what the bail status will be," Perri said of the hearing.

The "King of Pop" or "Wacko Jacko" (as some refer to him) may be looking to expand his Neverland kingdom. This time he's looking for those little green guys from another planet.Michael reportedly wants to build an airport for aliens. According to Michael Luckman, director of the New York Center for Extraterrestrial Research and author of "Alien Rock," Jackson would like to set up the landing strip in the Nevada desert."Michael wants to welcome extra-terrestrials to earth to film the landing," Luckman said in his book. According to Luckman, Jackson also has claimed to be from another planet himself."Michael identified the planet as 'A Capricious Anomaly in the Sea of Space' and said it was located 'just beyond our solar system.'" Did anyone bother to ask him when he'd be returning?Jackson hasn't limited himself to alien interaction; he's been involved with the paranormal for some time."When Michael was a teenager, he read about me in American textbooks and school books, and I think he always wanted to meet me to see how I bend a spoon or read a mind," Uri Geller, Jackson's longtime psychic friend said to CBS News.Even Geller, who served as a witness in Jackson's molestation trials, read Jackson the riot act about his behavior. I really screamed at him. I told him, 'Michael, you've got to change your behavior,'" Geller told CBS News. "'Mainly with children, because again, although you know, you are innocent and you are doing nothing to them, it just doesn't look good. It doesn't look right.'"Although Jackson may consult with his psychic friend Geller, he's also suggested that he has some psychic abilities himself. In September of 1997, right after the death of Princess Diana, Jackson told Barbara Walters in a 20/20 interview that he’d been haunted by a vision."I said there's another one real soon, I feel it coming, there's another one, and I pray it's not me. Please, don't let it be me. And Mother Teresa came," he told Walters. When asked if he was saying he was psychic Jackson replied, "I don't want to say that, but I've done it before."Perhaps he also has a belief in ghosts. In October of 2004, Jackson was reported to be bidding on a "genuine Irish ghost trapped in a bottle." According to BBC News the 100-year-old bottle was bricked up in a window by a priest following a failed exorcism and was being sold on eBay. A newspaper report said that an agent representing Jackson was involved in the bidding. It sold for $478.33, but the winner is unknown. In the 20/20 interview, Walters asked Jackson how he felt about the media referring to him as "Wacko Jacko.""Yeah, Wacko Jacko, where did that come from? Some English tabloid. I have a heart and I have feelings," Jackson said. "I feel that when you do that to me, and it's not nice. Don't do it. I'm not wacko!"Alien airports, spoon bending friends, psychic abilities and ghosts in bottles seem to add up to something a bit strange. On the bright side, if aliens do exist, Michael Jackson may well be the one welcoming them home.

Artist: Damian MarleyTitle: Welcome to JamrockRating: ****The third time sounds to be a charm for roots, rap, reggae royale Damian Junior Gong Marley with his astounding new album Welcome to Jamrock (Universal/Motown). Months ago when the long natty'd Marley welcomed the world to Jamrock he got invited to the mainstream. The addictive Ini Kamoze sample-driven-title-track that set the airwaves ablaze is warmfire compared to the combustible Move! where he chants, Babylon position the queen and set the pawn, And start transform like Deceptacon, Anytime delegates have a discrepance, Well a bare tension with some long weapons. This aptly titled song injects ass and arm credibility to the talents of Bob's youngest son who shares executive production credit with his big-brother Stephen Marley.Silence haters.Yes, Junior samples Daddy's music here and there, but there's no abundant Diddification. And while Move! uses a snippet of Bob Marley's Exodus, please believe the sample only helps make what's already good better. But it's the marching Confrontation interweaving snippets of Marcus Garvey's speech to heavy drum percussions that carries on in the spirit of what Damian is most known for, lyricism. On the militant-minded Road to Zion Nas brings his lyrical-sense: “Human beings like ghosts and zombies, President Mugabe, holding guns to innocent bodies.Emcees of a feather stick together, but what is uncanny is that Black Thought from The Roots rounding out the guest appearances. A guest verse from the Philly MC is normally a blessing and a good look but even Black Thought couldn't save this mundane oh-too-familiar story of a girl lost track. For everyone clamoring to know about the the Bobby Brown song, known here as Beautiful, here goes. (Ahem, clearing throat.) It is a jazzy saxophone-infused, a-aight, track that doesn’t make, break or shift the album. It's an R&B song more dominated by Damian's silky delivery than Bobby's hook which sounds like vintage Bobby (give or take a cracking voice at the end). Many try to fuse hip hop, dancehall, R&B, reggae but rarely does it work. Welcome to Jamrock, like Halfway Tree (Damian Marley's 2002 Grammy Award winning album that no one ever heard), stands firm as a blueprint for what fusions can be if done correctly.

The feds are investigating whether a Queens drug kingpin targeted Jam Master Jay for death because the deejay defied an industry "blacklist" of rapper 50 Cent, according to a newly released court document. The drug dealer, Kenneth (Supreme) McGriff, had feuded with 50 since 2000, when the chart-topping rapper released a song called "Ghetto Koran" detailing the history of McGriff's "Supreme Team" drug gang. "Messages transmitted over the [hip-hop record label] Murder Inc. pager indicate that McGriff is involved in an ongoing plot to murder this rap artist," according to Internal Revenue Service agent Francis Mace in a 2003 affidavit made public last week. The affidavit notes that 50 Cent was shot and wounded shortly after the release of the song and was "blacklisted in the recording industry." Mace also reveals - for the first time publicly - that the Oct. 30, 2002, murder of Jam Master Jay, the former Run-DMC deejay whose real name was Jason Mizell, may be tied to the bad blood between McGriff and 50 Cent. "Law enforcement agents are investigating the possibility that Mizell was murdered for defying the blacklist of 50 Cent," agent Mace wrote. No one has been charged with Mizell's killing. Mizell, 37, was gunned down by masked gunmen who burst into his 24-7 recording studio in downtown Jamaica. McGriff is currently facing multiple murder charges in Brooklyn Federal Court. Next month, Murder Inc. founder Irving (Irv Gotti) Lorenzo and his brother Chris go on trial on charges of laundering McGriff's drug cash through the record company.

Rap mogul Jay-Z is standing behind Def Jam colleague Kanye West in the wake of the latter's comments during Friday's telethon to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. As previously reported, West declared that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" and that America is set up "to help the poor, the black people, the less well-off as slow as possible.""I'm backing Kanye 100%," Jay-Z tells Billboard by phone from London. "This is America. You should be able to say what you want to say. We have freedom of speech."Jay-Z admits he shares some of West's views about the slow response to the disaster. "It's really numbing," he says. "You can't believe it's happening in America. You wonder, what's going on? Why were people so slow to react? I don't understand it."Although Jay-Z says he hasn't "spoken to anyone about doing a concert event" to benefit Katrina victims, he says he wants to speak with Sean "Diddy" Combs about starting a fund exclusively to aid African-Americans in times of crisis. "Just in case anything like this happens in the future, we can do what the elder Bush and [former President Bill] Clinton are doing for our people specifically."

Buffie the Body offers "full body" services. Recently an ad on Craigslist (an internet site that houses classified ads) featured the infamous Ms. Fat Booty, Buffie the Body (mostly known from Tony Yayo's "So Seductive" video and for her appearances in both King and XXL) who was offering 5 lucky men "the lap dance of their life." In the ad that ran on Wednesday, she said that she would be in NYC at the Westin Hotel that night accepting offers from men who were willing to spend $1000 to "worship her" for an hour. The ad goes on stating, "I am NOT offering any full service, hand jobs, oral, or massages, just the opportunity to touch, kiss, and worship my beautiful body. I will allow one lucky guy to give me a fully nude body rub with lots of mutual touching and finish me off with some oral play. I will NOT return the favor at all so please don't ask..." When we tried contacting the email address that was supplied on the site, no one was able to confirm. Craigs List also recently removed the ad form the site. BUFFIE THE BODY

A conservative backlash has mounted against entertainer Kanye West after the rapper/producer recently spoke out against President Bush and the treatment of African Americas ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. On a live telecast Friday on NBC, West concluded an unprepared, unrehearsed speech by saying, “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people. The statement, along with sharp words of criticism for the media and government, has raised ire in many and a groundswell of support in others. In a disgusting display, West strayed from his prepared script to offer an overflow of hatred from his mouth, taking the spotlight off of the matter at hand, turning the relief program into his own personal soapbox, said Juicee News, a site that mixes personal commentary with daily reporting. Whether or not anyone agrees with Mr. West... it was clear that now was not the time to voice such harsh opinions. The American Daily, another news service, said that West spoke out with an uninformed opinion on national television.American Daily Sher Zieve said, “Showing yet again that leftists have raised a generation of ignorant, malicious and increasingly incompetent-to-comment-on-virtually-anything ‘adults,Kanye West an ostensible ‘rapper joined the neverending-since-2000 Bush bash fest.”Despite his critics, a plethora of Black leaders are supporting West, including civil rights leader Randall Robinson, Jesse Jackson and others like Jesse Jackson, Congressman: Today I saw 5000 African Americans on the I-10 causeway, desperate, perishing, dehydrated, babies dying. It looked like Africans in the hull of a slave ship. It was so ugly and so obvious. Have we missed this catastrophe because of indifference and ineptitude, or is it a combination of the both We have great tolerance for black suffering and black marginalisation. And today those who are suffering the most, in fact, in New Orleans certainly are black people.West's commentary prompted NBC censors to cut the telecast without re-airing it on the West Coast.Los Angeles Times newspaper also supported West's freedom of speech and condemned NBC for cutting the West Coast telecast. NBC cut the Grammy Award-winning rapper`s remark: 'George Bush doesn`t care about Black people,' from the West Coast tape of its Friday night telethon leaving the viewers with nothing more than 'a sterile, self-serving corporate broadcast,' the Times stated in an editorial.

Interesting article that makes you reconsider whether the Red Cross is the right charity to send donations for the victims of hurricane Katrina:Don't Give Your Hurricane Donations to the American Red CrossEstablishment charities have criminal history of stealing disaster fundsPaul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones | Updated September 3 2005As the aftermath of hurricane Katrina continues to wreak mayhem and havoc amid reports of mass looting, shooting at rescue helicopters, rapes and murders, establishment media organs are promoting the Red Cross as a worthy organization to give donations to.The biggest website in the world, Yahoo.com, displays a Red Cross donation link prominently on its front page.Every time there is a major catastrophe the Red Cross and similar organizations like United Way are given all the media attention while other charities are left in the shadows. This is not to say that the vast majority of Red Cross workers are not decent people who simply want to help those in need. But what the media fails consistently to remember in their promotion of the organization is that the American Red Cross have been caught time and time again withholding money in the wake of horrible disasters that require immediate release of funds. The Red Cross, under the Liberty Fund, collected $564 million in donations after 9/11. Months after the event, the Red Cross had distributed only $154 million. The Red Cross' explanation for keeping the majority of the money was that it would be used to help 'fight the war on terror'. To the victims, this meant that the money was going towards bombing broken backed third world countries like Afghanistan and setting up surveillance cameras and expanding the police state in US cities, and not towards helping them rebuild their lives. Then Red Cross President Dr. Bernadine Healy arrogantly responded when questioned about the withholding of funds by stating, "The Liberty Fund is a war fund. It has evolved into a war fund."Despite the family members of victims of 9/11 complaining bitterly to a House Energy and Commerce Committee's oversight panel, the issue seemed to be brushed under the carpet and the mud didn't stick. The Red Cross' scandalous activities reach back far before 9/11.After the devastating San Francisco earthquake in 1989, the Red Cross passed on only $10 million of the $50 million that had been raised, and banked the rest.Similar donations after the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 and the Red River flooding in 1997 were also greedily withheld.Insight Magazine reported,The first days after the bombing, says one family member, people from all over the country were sending checks in lieu of flowers and we were getting a lot of checks and cash every day hundreds, even thousands, of dollars. Then the Red Cross went down to the post office and made arrangements to collect the mail and they would deliver it to us in bulk. All the mail had been opened, and from that point on there never was a dime, even in letters that said money was enclosed. The Red Cross has been caught engaging in rampant corruption on an all too regular basis.3,000 people died after thousands of Canadians were infected with HIV and hepatitis C from tainted blood supplies. The Canadian Red Cross pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this year after they had been directly caught knowlingly shipping out the infected blood.Smaller charities that were involved with the 2004 Tsunami relief project went public to say that large charities like Red Cross and United Way were engaged in secret backroom negotiations with each other that meant a large portion of the donation money was purposefully restricted from reaching the most needy areas affected by the disaster. The history is clear, the Red Cross and other large so-called charities are in actual fact front group collection agencies for the military industrial complex. Many informed historians have even alleged that the Red Cross was used as a Skull and Bones cover to overthrow The Russian Czar and pave the way for the rise of the Bolsheviks.Do not give any money to the Red Cross unless you support the expansion of empire abroad and police state at home. Find a smaller trustworthy organization in the local area of New Orleans and make your donation to them.

Friday, September 2nd, 2005 Dear Mr. Bush: Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag. Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with? Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her! I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike? And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ! On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that. There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland. No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this! You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are near Tikrit. Yours, Michael MooreMichaelMoore.com

Kanye West criticized United States President George W. Bush and the government's reaction to Hurricane Katrina last night during A Concert for Hurricane Relief a live benefit concert that aired on NBC. West had sharp words for President Bush and the government's reaction to the disaster wrought in four states by Hurricane Katrina during the one-hour live special. The show was aired live on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC and Pax and featured performances from Harry Connick Jr., Wynton Marsalis, Faith Hill, Aaron Neville and others.West, who didn't perform, was on the stage with comedian Mike Myers reading a script from the teleprompter when he deviated from the pre-written script.I hate the way they portray us in the media,West said echoing comments that big media outlets are biased in how they present images of the hurricane victims. You see a black family, it says, They're looting. You see a white family, it says, They're looking for food. It's been five days [waiting for federal help] because most of the people are black,West said. And even for me to complain about it, I would be a hypocrite because I've tried to turn away from the TV because it's too hard to watch.I've even been shopping before even giving a donation, so now I'm calling my business manager right now to see what is the biggest amount I can give…the way America is set up to help the poor, the black people, the less well-off, as slow as possible. I mean, the Red Cross is doing everything they can. We already realize a lot of people that could help are at war right now, fighting another way -- and they've given them permission to go down and shoot us!There was a tape delay, but the person in charge of censoring was only looking for profane words and didn’t know that West was not following his script. West's comments were edited out of the West Coast airing of the show, which was broadcast three hours later. Before the show was over, the host, NBC News Matt Lauer, stated that emotions in the country are high because of the destruction the hurricane has left, the handling of the disaster and the strain of the war in Iraq. Sometimes that emotion is translated into inspiration, sometimes into criticism,Lauer said referring to West's comments. We've heard some of that tonight. But it's still part of the American way of life."HURRICANE RELIEFNBCAMERICAN RED CROSS

Organizers of the Magic Marketplace denied that The Game was ejected out of the famed Las Vegas fashion convention, but charged the rap star was denied entrance because his security carried concealed handguns. In a statement, Magic also countered the assertion that the Miami shooting of Suge Knight was a factor in the decision. The Game was not kicked out of the show for possible involvement in the recent Suge Knight shooting, as has previously been reported, the statement read. Magic brass contended a Las Vegas building code prohibits concealed weapons of any type on the premises. On Tuesday, The Game arrived at the event to showcase his Hurricane sneakers, which are made by 310 Footwear. Magic’s security attempted to work with 310 Footwear’s security to find an alternate, more suitable location for the rapper’s display. According to Magic, 310 declined the offer of relocation, because the new site was unacceptable to them. On Tuesday morning, August 30, The Game arrived at the event site an hour earlier than scheduled accompanied by five bodyguards at least two of whom were allegedly armed. After being informed by security officials that this was a direct violation of trade show rules, all were escorted off the show premises,Magic official said. They also charge that The Game refused to reschedule his appearance. The Game's manager Jimmy Henchmen maintained that fears surrounding the Miami shooting of Suge Knight prompted action from on-site security. It's a shame that an incident that happens on one coast would affect a promotion of the (Hurricane) sneakers on another. Speculation here will make matters worst in this matter," Game's manager Jimmy Henchmen told.Concurring, The Game explained what happened yesterday from his point of view."They had a lot of state police exit us right out of the building," Game told the Associated Press. "They were scared there was going to be some drama, but I don't know why they would be scared because I had nothing to do with (the shooting)."

Organizers of the Magic Convention booted The Game out of the Las Vegas Convention center, out of fear that Marion Suge Knight was planning to retaliate against the rapper for a weekend shooting in Miami, Florida. According to eyewitnesses, Game was attempting to showcase his Hurricane by 310 sneakers at the convention, which attracts major players in the fashion industry.Sources stated that an previous incident in which The Game clashed with Knight's entourage - as well as last weekend’s unsolved shooting of Knight - played a part in having security remove the rapper.Last June, The Game and Knight crossed paths at the Sunset Room iin California and an altercation ensued, but no one was injured. Early Sunday morning Knight was shot in the leg at a Kanye West sponsored MTV Video Music Awards party at the Shore Club in Miami, Florida.Few facts are known about the shooting and according to police, witnesses are reluctant to come forward. Police officials are also waiting on ballistics evidence recovered from the scene and from Knight's clothing to determine if he was shot or if he accidentally discharged a gun and shot himself. If it is determined the gunshot wound was self-inflicted, Knight would be in violation of his probation for carrying a weapon. They were concerned Suge was gonna retaliate at Magic, so Game being there was a security risk,a source speaking under condition of anonymity told. Game came into a secured area and only people with appointments were allowed to see him. When they found out he was in the booth, they escorted him out.The Game confirmed the incident with the Associated Press shortly after he was kicked out of the Las Vegas Convention Center."They had a lot of state police exit us right out of the building," Game told The Associated Press. "They were scared there was going to be some drama, but I don't know why they would be scared because I had nothing to do with (the shooting)."The rapper also denied he was involved in the shooting, stating that he didn't see Knight in the club at all, which was jam packed with at least 500 people. According to reports, the Compton, California native and Knight met on the beach earlier in the day, further dispelling rumors of tension between the two despite their previous altercation. Its a shame that an incident that happens on one coast would affect a promotion of the (Hurricane) sneakers on another. Speculation here will make matters worst in this matter," Game's manager Jimmy Henchmen said. The Game and Knight both have ties to the Bloods street gang. Knight was a co-founder in Death Row Records with Dr. Dre, Knight's nemesis and Game's mentor and producer.

Sean Diddy Combs emerged victorious in a Michigan appeal court when a judge ruled that the rapper/entrepreneur did not assault a talk show host after a 1999 interview. TV talk-show host Roger Mills of Detroit filed a lawsuit against Diddy, Bad Boy Entertainment, bodyguard Ron Gilyard and a Detroit radio station after he alleged that he was assaulted after a 1999 interview with the mogul. The interview ended suddenly when Mills inquired whether or not Diddy may have caused the 1997 death of The Notorious B.I.G. In the interview, Mills queried: Did you have Notorious B.I.G. killed? The host claimed that when Diddy exited the building, his bodyguards attacked him, broke a television camera and took the interview footage. Diddy already won a previous ruling, but Mills appealed the 2004 decision. Mills claimed a jury should have heard a taped phone conversation that he had with the Bad Boy founder and his bodyguard, which would have incriminated him. As previously reported, Diddy was recently sued by super model Tyson Beckford for unlawful use of his image and trademark infringement in a 2004 Sean John ad campaign.

Eddie Murphy and Mariah Carey hooked up Friday night in Miami. The songbird - in town for an appearance at last night's MTV awards - heard her cell phone ring while she was holding a dinner party for friends at the Raleigh Hotel's penthouse. It was newly single Murphy, demanding she come over to Prive, where the $20-million movie man was hanging out with pals Quincy Jones and Ice T and the latter's cantilevering cutie, Coco.Carey did decide to leave her party but may have taken too long at the makeup mirror. By the time she arrived, at 2:30, Murphy had been standing at the top of the stairs for 20 minutes, with his arms folded, saying: "Where the hell is she?"Carey, who's ditched the tube tops and two-sizes-too-small cutoffs for more sophisticaed styles, finally showed up, looking sexy and relaxed, report our spies. Both stars immediately started whispering into one another's ears and nuzzling.Back at a banquette with pals, Murphy, also looking relaxed, "held hands with her under the table," one nearby spywitness adds.By 3:30, the pair had slipped out the back door unnoticed (perhaps driven by a pesky drag queen named Wanda who suddenly snapped at Ice T, "Stay away from my man!"). The were holding hands as they slid into the backseat of a Mercedes, and zipped over to the five-star Hotel Setai. Our helpful spy, who followed them, says: "They were sitting in the car 15, 20 minutes until nobody was on the street and then they went in together."

"They willfully continued to use Mr. Beckford's image without permission because he become known as the face of Sean John." MIAMI - Cops in Miami Beach probing the shooting of rap mogul Marion (Suge) Knight said yesterday they were being "stonewalled" by uncooperative witnesses. Bobby Herndandez, a police spokesman, said detectives have no suspects and no tips, which he calls "mind-boggling" given the crowd of people within close range of the shooting. "We are basically stonewalled right now," he said. Knight, 40, was shot in the leg at South Beach's Shore Club hotel around 12:30a.m. Sunday as he attended a closed party of celebrities in town for MTV's Video Music Awards. He was taken to nearby Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he was operated on yesterday and was seeing friends. He is "fine," according to Hernandez, and is being questioned about any recent conflicts he may have had. Hospital officials would not release specifics on his condition, citing a confident-iality request from Knight, who registered under an alias. Early reports after the shooting mentioned a black man in a pink shirt who walked to up the rapper's table at the Red Room, where rapper Kanye West hosted an exclusive event, and fired several shots. Miami Beach police, however, have discredited that account. They have not ruled out the possibility that Knight suffered an accidentally self-inflicted wound, and expect forensic results "any day now," said Hernandez. "There are things we check on his clothing that [would] go with the story he tells us," said Hernandez. "We're waiting for him to get better." The other theory is that the shooting was a new salvo in an enduring rap war that has already felled Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. But Hernandez said cops won't know what happened for sure unless some of the witnesses start talking to investigators. "We are awaiting more information from witnesses that were there," he said.

Now he fears another Tupac Shakur/notorious Big war, which left both rappers dead.He says, "I love all of those guys, man... (but) if Tupac and Biggie taught you anything, let it go, man. I've been in the game for 20 years. I've seen them come and go. You don't want anything tragic to happen."

The 50 Cent, Fat Joe beef came to a head Sunday night after words were exchanged between the two rappers during MTV's Diddy-hosted Video Music Awards. While onstage announcing reggaeton artists Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, and Tego Calderon, Fat Joe took first aim at 50 Cent, stating, “I feel safe with all the police protection, courtesy of G-Unit.Several minutes later, 50 retaliated with bleeped-out obscenities for Fat Joe, during a set featuring Mobb Deepand Tony Yayo. "Fat Joe's a p**sy. F**k Joe. F**k Terror Squad." Sources stated that 50 actually jumped on stage off camera after Fat Joe made the quip about G-Unit. In related news, during pre-show festivities 50 appeared with Mase and officially announced the former Bad Boy rapper’s signing to G-Unit. Mid-show, Diddy conducted an orchestra while a montage of the late Notorious B.I.G.'s music videos played, including Juicy and Warning.Snoop Dogg spit a verse on the latter. The Doggfather also won Diddy's Fashion Challenge, which awarded $50,000 each to the charities of the best dressed male and female. Snoop was up against Usher and Kanye West. With the theme of the night being anything can happen,Snoop's pimp sidekick Bishop Magic Don Juan received a surprise makeover, courtesy of Diddy. In place of his usual vibrant gear, the Don sported a normal suit with no gaudy accessories. Diddy also brought the old school back when Luke and his raunchy dancers emerged during a dance medley, and MC Hammer performed his hit, U Can't Touch This.Other Hip-Hop performances included Ludacris, who won his first Moon Man for Best Rap Video with “Number One Spot,Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx, and Houston rappers Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and Slim Thug, who performed during pre-show.

MIAMI BEACH - Rap mogul Marion (Suge) Knight was shot in the leg at a glittering party hosted by Grammy-winning hip hop artist Kanye West early today, police said. The Death Row Records founder, who has been in and out of jail, was wounded in the Red Room of the swanky Sky Bar at the Shore Club Hotel, witnesses said. Knight, 40, was hospitalized in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. The bash was held in advance of tonight's MTV Video Music Awards. "I heard a pop. There was an altercation and we were pushed out. I made sure Kanye was okay," said Frederick Williams of Janeff Entertainment Inc. A woman who declined to give her name said, "It was crazy because [Knight] was alone by himself looking at some girls. All of a sudden they got crazy and there was all of this shooting." It was unclear if anyone was immediately arrested. The party actually continued for a time after the gunfire, moving to the hotel's pool area, before cops shut the event down. Knight created Death Row Records with Dr. Dre in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. After several years of outstanding chart success for artists including Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Tha Dogg Pound and even MC Hammer, Death Row Records disintegrated after Knight's incarceration on parole violation charges in 1996. Knight, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 320 pounds, has frequently been implicated in the 1996 murder of Shakur and the 1997 slaying of rival The Notorious B.I.G. In 2002, British documentarian Nick Broomfield made a film called "Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur" that explored the theory that Knight masterminded Shakur's killing because the star was planning on leaving Death Row and Knight wanted to retain his unreleased tapes and royalties. Broomfield also suggested that Smalls' murder was a coverup to make Shakur's death look like part of an East Coast-West Coast conflict. Knight has vehemently denied this on several occasions, calling Shakur his "brother." Knight was released from prison in 2001 and tried to restart his label. However, in December 2002 he was jailed again for allegedly violating his probation by associating with gang members. After his release, he was arrested and jailed yet again in 2003, allegedly for assaulting a parking lot attendant. Knight was freed again on April 23, 2004. His autobiography "American Dream/American Nightmare" is due this holiday season.

In Stores october 25 Check Out LINK Black Rob is certainlyno stranger to making classics. After guest appearing on a string of timeless Bad Boy cuts by people like Mase and the Chairman of the Boards himself P. Diddy, Rob finally barnstormed his way out on his own in late 1999 when his Whoa!hit the streets. The song produced by Buckwild, proved to be a phenomenon, immediately engulfing listeners and holding the dance floor hostage with its blends of traumatic bass and synthesizers underneath Rob's glowering snarl, which dropped the word whoa! at the end of every sentence. Not surprisingly, the undisputed penultimate street anthem and instant club staple would go on to become the biggest record of the year 2000 and parlay into a platinum plus LP for its author. Whoa! is unstoppable, laughs Rob. To this day, you could put that on in any club or drive through any hood pumping it in your car and people are going to stop and dance and sing along with it. I made the history books with that one.Raised in Spanish Harlem, making rap history wasn't always a priority to Robert Ross during his formative years. He was just trying to survive to the next day. Rob was quickly forced to grow up with lack of a father figure. He became victim to the trappings of the streets, eventually running away from home and being forced to live in group-homes and ultimately prison. As young adult, he began to put crime life of robberies and narcotics sales behind him and was discovered by P. Diddy and Bad Boy President Harve Pierre in 1995. He was quickly signed to the label. When Puff came across me, it was in a time in my life when I was just doing a lot of wrong things,Rob says. “For him to give me that hand and let me do what I do, was a blessing. I just needed a chance. It's been five years since Black Rob dropped his classic debut Life's Story on the heels on of the aforementioned groundbreaking single Whoa!, still B.R. has proven that not only is he getting better at dismantling mics, but his fans have an undying allegiance for him. Lately he's been rocking sold out shows at Madison Square Garden, infiltrating the mixtape circuit with his own brand of unflinchingly rugged street stories and more importantly, constructing another timeless LP at Daddy's House studio. This is B.R., I'm futuristic daddy,Rob taking a break from a recording session with legendary Bad Boy producer Deric D-Dot Angeletti, said while sitting in a Daddy's House lounge. My creativity is at an apex. It's through the roof. Understand me. I'm 150 songs strong right now. I could do this for a minute. I could sit at the round table and play my cards right now. You're going to understand the validity to what I'm saying.Rob's presence is so immense right now that Bad Boy is releasing his album, The Rob Report this Spring. It´s a beautiful thing man,Rob said about the support of his label Bad Boy and its CEO Sean P.Diddy Combs. “That just shows me that they're still behind me. They got faith in BR. Its loyalty. When you're apart of something, you just want to be apart of that. You don´t want to be apart of nothing else. That Bad Boy thing been apart of me for ten years. I can't even see myself on no other label. They stuck behind me through everything I've had to endure. So I had to come back like crazy. The Rob Report not only details some of its author's trials, tribulations and ultimate triumphs, it finds B.R. returning to form as one of hip-hop's premier gutter griots, never relinquishing his mastery of slick word play and story telling. There is Ooh Ah, where Diddy's general unleashes a new stop and go flow, rapping “Since the day of my birth I was coming up the worst./ Snatch the purse put my hand up the skirt./ Put the body in earth./ Then I thought what's it worth. Now forever I'm cursed./ I'm cursed, bowing down in the church praying to stay away from the hearse.“Star in the Hood is vintage Robbie O, club land flavor where he spews his rhyme arsenal over the heavy bass and synths, celebrating ghetto celebrities everywhere. On the record Rob trumpets the fact that you don´t have to be chased down by paparazzi everywhere you go to have a special swagger. Just to receive praise from everyone in your neighborhood is an accomplishment. Not to be outdone is Just Ask me, where he vents and lets go of the stress on his chest. In true unflinching Rob manner, he lets loose on everyone from girls who are trying to get money from to hatas in the streets.

Jim Jones' new video for "Baby Girl/G's Up" has been banned from Canadian television station Much Music.Word is the station didn't add the clip to its rotation because the "G's Up" part of the video features Jones' crew wearing black shirts that read "Stop Snitching" on a red octagon reminiscent of a stop sign. The Toronto, Ontario-based station reportedly banned the video featuring the shirts because they contend it encourages witnesses of crimes not to report information to law enforcement. In recent months, the Toronto area has been hit with 33 fatal shootings and even more injuries related to gun violence. Toronto police are struggling to get witnesses to cooperate and reveal information on the city's rising gun violence."I was not in any way trying to promote violence by having those t-shirts in my video. I was simply making a comment on using your integrity," Jones stated on the shirts.Jones is reportedly disappointed by the station's censorship. The Harlem rapper/executive stresses he has long been working with the community and taken a stance against violence."I do a lot of community work in Harlem and I am a Board Member of the Hip-Hop Summit Committee," Jones explained. "And this year, I will be taking part in the Million Man March, an upcoming demonstration in Washington, DC that encourages people to build communities, avoid violence, register to vote, and invest in black businesses."Jim Jones' Harlem: Diary of a Summer featuring "Baby Girl" and "G's Up" is in stores now.

The First Lady of Crunk & B, who is best known for knock-out club bangers like "Oh" and "1, 2 Step," has selected the slow jam "And I" as the fourth single from her platinum-plus debut disc, Goodies. Ciara has scorched the world's dance floors with her crunkified beats and blazed tracks with Missy Elliott and Ludacris, and now the 19-year-old is ready to tackle new musical territory: the love ballad. Ciara penned the track when she was only 15."This track really comes from my heart," the sexy-singer recently told VH1.com. "It talks about how I love someone for who they are and not what they have, you know, it's not about the money, it's not about those things. I would sacrifice my all for the person that I really love, no matter what."For the video, based loosely on Whitney Houston's 1992 movie "The Bodyguard," Ciara teamed with the Fat Cats ("Oh" and Twista's "Slow Jamz") and recruited Denver Nuggets basketball star Carmelo Anthony to play one of her love interests.Ciara will be a presenter at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, where she is also nominated for Best R&B Video for "Oh" and Best New Artist in a Video and Best Dance Video for "1, 2 Step"

A Michigan husband and wife have slapped Eminem with his second lawsuit in two weeks. On Thursday, Breck and Tina Wyngarden have filed suit against the rapper, a bus driver, and Entertainment Coaches of America over a collision that involved the rapper's Anger Management tour bus. On July 13, Eminem's Anger Management tour bus was headed to Denver from Chicago. According to published reports, the tour bus was traveling when the bus driver swerved to avoid a pair of trucks, but ended up striking another vehicle. That vehicle was The Wyngardens tractor-trailer, the couple’s lawyer told CBS Arts. The pair is seeking unspecified damages from the 32-year-old rapper. Eminem was not on the tour, but Shady Records artists like producer The Alchemist and rapper Stat Quo were. The Alchemist was treated for broken ribs and a collapsed lung, while Stat Quo suffered broken ribs. About 11 other people were injured as well. Tina Wyngarden was reportedly hospitalized, but her injuries weren't detailed at press time. Last week, Eminem was sued by a pair of relatives that said he reneged on a deal to give him a home if they relocated closer to his Detroit home. Eminem was recently admitted to the hospital for exhaustion and a dependency on sleeping medication.

CANTON, Ohio -- There are 490 female students at Timken High School, and 65 are pregnant, according to a recent report in the Canton Repository. The article reported that some would say that movies, TV, videogames, lazy parents and lax discipline may all be to blame. Video School officials are not sure what has contributed to so many pregnancies, but in response to them, the school is launching a three-prong educational program to address pregnancy, prevention and parenting. The newspaper also reported that students will face mounting tensions created by unplanned child-rearing responsibilities, causing students to quit school and plan for a GED. This will make it difficult for the Canton City School District to shake its academic watch designation by the state. According to the Canton Health Department, statistics through July show that 104 of the 586 babies born to Canton residents in Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center had mothers between 11 and 19. The newspaper reports that the non-Canton rate was 7 percent. Canton was 15 percent.

It's been six years since hip-hop legend Dr. Dre's last studio album, and its planned follow-up, reportedly titled "Detox," seems no closer to completion. But one of his key collaborators tells Billboard.com Dre is continuing to work on new music and still plans to release another album, even if it takes several more years to do the job right."There will be another Dr. Dre solo album, without a doubt," says bassist Mike Elizondo, who began working with the artist on the 1999 album "Dr. Dre -- 2001" and has since been a fixture on Dre-produced recordings by Xzibit, Eminem and the Game. "Dre has very high standards," Elizondo responded when asked what is taking so long. "He wants to shock the world and put something out that no one would have ever thought possible from a hip-hop artist. He's definitely going to take his time and make sure it's right, but there will be a collection of songs that will come out as a Dr. Dre solo album."However, the timetable for finishing the album remains murky. Asked if Elizondo had played on any of the tracks to date, he replied, "We've been working. There's a team assembled and we'll definitely continue moving forward on that.""Dr. Dre -- 2001" debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 7 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

He and Cam'ron called the former Bad Boy a fraud last year in an on-air radio encounter and hasn't changed his tune much since. And now with the possible signing of Ma$e to G-Unit, Jones has a few words about his rival… "I thought he was signed to G-Unit to be their spiritual adviser, to tell you the truth," Jim joked to MTV. "You know how we say prayers before every show? I thought that's what they hired him for, ya smell me? But I guess everybody backslides. If you want to backslide, I guess that means you are no exception; it's tough out here in these streets. You could slip on a banana peel and bust your head wide open."Jones also took a shot or two at 50 Cent's manager, Chris Lighty."He's treating this sh-- like wrestling," Jones spoke of Lighty's involvement in hip-hop. "He's the Vince McMahon of this shit. Don't get it wrong, Vince McMahon is a billionaire, ain't nothing wrong with being Vince McMahon, ya dig. I don't know if you want to be a wrestler unless you Hulk Hogan or something. I'm just an observer of the game. If that's how they make their money, that's how they make their money. I just feel [Lighty] is Vince McMahon. He knows exactly what the fuck is going on."What exactly is Jim Jones talking about? Hmmmmm.
