In past years I have not given a crap about the federal elections. I had a reason - I was too young to vote. And last election was about a year ago, but the same year there were 3 elections (federal, provincial, and municipal), so I didn't feel like voting.
This year is different. I'm trying to pay attention (soooo boring sometimes)! But I've found something to be interested in - the commercials! They are so damn funny!
My favorite is one done by the Conservatives trying to denouce the Liberals (the who to the what? Don't worry about names, nobody here cares either). The commercial shows Paul Martin (current Prime Minister) in the background with a red tinge to it. He looks like Satan , and it's complete with the evil music in the background. I was half expecting them to have drawn little horns on his head.
Now, Liberal supporters, I won't leave you out. The Liberals are doing their own bashing of Stephen Harper (Conservatives guy). In their commercial, they focus on how evil Harper is, how he won't do this and that, he will destroy Canada and let Quebec leave. The best part is 'Stephen Harper does not support gun control' . Then it shows a big picture of a gun on screen, like Harper's gonna get elected and starting handing out guns to little children.
Now, yesterday was the final English debate in english on TV. Yes, they will also do it all again today in French. To sum it up, it was 4 grown men bitching and moaning about each other, basically a big 'Yo Momma' contest.
Paul Martin : Hey, Harper. Yo Momma's so stupid, she sold her car for gasoline money, then bought guns and shot everyone in Toronto! If you vote for me, I won't let my mother own a gun.
Stephen Harper : Yeah? Well, Yo Momma's so poor that she ate cereal with a fork to save money on milk, then cut all the country's military programs!

Gilles Duceppe (Block Quebecois) : Vive le Quebec!
As you can see, it went nowhere. So Canadians everywhere are asking: 'What do I do? It's all so complicated!' Therefore, I am introducing my simple analysis of this year's candidates.
Paul Martin - Moron
Stephen Harper - Dumbass
Jack Layton - AssHat
Gilles Duceppe - Douchebag
