A true play of the imagination
Malice Mizer , if you dont know, was a popular japanese symphonic rock group.
Mana , the guitarist & main composer graduated from a prestegious all-music school and he is very talented and enigmatic. (he's the one on the cover with a violin & a dress)
He never speaks publically, claiming something about the " voice of his guitar " or some such strange Mana-ish nonsense.
This album was a pleasure to have in my collection. GREAT
Gackt's voice was perfect for this one, though I especially loved the instrumental version of the song. Sometimes you just wanna hear the music, ya know？ :)
Malice Mizer『Merveilles』
" Merveilles Halloween of magical creatures.
That sounds a bit silly when I type it, though.
" Merveilles " is almost a play without actors, a theater show for a blind audience.
The intense visual glamour of Mana, Gackt, and the other bandmembers hint at what the story will unfold into, but it is truly the descent into the recesses of the mind and heart that bring this album alive.
I'd also like to comment on the pictures.
Because they're wonderful. The cover art is very detailed, and * VERY .
Each band member gets two one-page pictures and six small black-and-white pictures.
Kozi's first, for example. )
There is also a picture on the track listing page of all the band members in winged costumes.
"Merveilles" is one of the best CDs I've ever heard, and, out of all the people who have heard it by being around me have loved it．．．
This is absolutely a must-have for... Anyone, really.
kicks so much butt that they put other bands to shame.
This is Malice Mizer at their best, still with Gackt & Kami. Get it.
