Last week I visited a hospital in my charge with members at development department to have a meeting with doctors and stuff about at phase3 product.
The meeting was so detailed than I had expected about protocols, methods such as agreement by patients.
As we know there needs a lot of time, cost and workloads to launch a new medicine on approval, I deeply recognized it by this meeting.
Sometimes talked are so serious that they had almost tough argument.
One thing I was impressed and believe is as follow.
What do doctors and relating stuff at medical institutions wish and that for members at the company is definitely same!
They are welcome to accept whatever hard works in order to develop and launch excellent product that contribute to save and relieve a lot of suffering patients.
So in my opinion we MRs should respect new medicines, do appropriate activities such as detailing for patients who really need them and do not waste them considering efforts by a lot of works.
先日、当社の開発関係の方々と同行し、開発中の製品の第三相試験をおこなっていただく予定の病院を訪問しました。
ご存知の通り、一つの薬剤が上市されるまでには多大の時間や手間、コストがかかるわけですが、そのことをあらためて実感しました。
打ち合わせはかなり真剣に行われ、時には白熱したやり取りもありました。
ただひとつ確信したことがあります！
治験にかかわる先生方や関係スタッフの方々の願い。
そしてメーカー側の開発関係の人たちの願い。
まったく同じでした！
「病に悩んでいる患者さんを多く救うために、一番適切な形で新製品を世に出したい」
「そのためにはどんな労もいとわない」
ということです。
そういう願いが込められて、ようやく世に出た新薬を、我々ＭＲは大切に育てていかなければならないと強く思った次第です。
