神さま、わたしにお与えください
自分に変えられないものを、受け入れる平静な心を
変えられるものは変えていく勇気を
そして、2つのものを見分ける賢さを
1日単位で生き、一瞬一瞬を楽しみ
この罪に満ちた世界を、自分がそこに染まるのではなく
あるがままに受け入れ
私がみこころに明け渡すならば
あなたがすべてを変えてくださると信頼し
それによってこの世においては適度な幸せを
次の世においては
あなたのみそばで最高の幸せにおらせてください
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be resonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
