今朝再放送で「世界で最も美しい時」という番組を観た。毎年10月中旬フランスの南
西部に位置するオーシュという町でシリカという夢のような現代サーカスの世界的祭
典が開かれる。
現代サーカスは、演劇や音楽などの要素を取り入れた新感覚のサーカスで肉体を極限
まで鍛えぬいた技と芸術的な演出が、観客の胸を打つ。私もそれを観て感動した。
この町にはいくつもサーカス学校があり、多くの少年、少女が学んでいる。ある母親
が「背が高い低い、肥満や痩せに関係なく誰でも学べて、相手と競争して勝つのでは
なく、自分の限界に挑戦して技を磨いていくスポーツなので忍耐力や優しさも育てる
ことが出来る素晴らしいスポーツだ」と語っていた。

祝福する。日本にもこのような学校ができて育っていくことを期待する。

I watched a program called "The world's most beautiful time" this morning as
a rebroadcast.
The Festival gathering contemporary circus, the dream-like "Circa" is opened
in the city Auch, southwest of France in mid-October every year.
The contemporary circus hits the audience by the hardened extreme body with
the new sense of incorporating elements such as the theater and music which
were skilled by artistic director. I was also moved by some performances.
In this town, many boys and girls are learning at some circus schools.
A mother said “The great sport can learn anyone regardless of tall,
overweight, skinny, to challenge your limits and to polish your techniques

compete against others and to win a battle.”
I heard that the first circus school opener in the city was father.
I celebrate his success.
I expect to bear and grow the same school in Japan
also.
