I have packed the garden table away, and also taken the wooden and iron chair to pieces. I shall put some preservative on the pieces and it will look splendid next spring, I hope.

This is the chair I am talking about. This is a very old photograph, February 2009, I think. The chair is the one on the right. Actually this looks as if it was before I restored it last time. I replaced that wood with some better stuff and that is what needs preserving now. How time flies.

The patio looks rather bare now.

These are the brown lentils that are going to be the bulk of the curry.

The screwdriver did arrive yesterday. We were out for about half an hour in the early morning. The courier must have rung the bell and left the package next door, without leaving a note as to where he had left it. I was embarrassed that our neighbour had to contact me about it, not that he really minded. But it annoys me really.
