After the performance of TOKYO BALLET John Neumeier was interviewed by Masashi Miura (a Japanese critic of literature) on the stage.
三浦:ノイマイヤーさんは実はきょう帰ってしまうので、ダンサーにダメ出しをしていたのです。それで時間をとってしまいました。私は三浦です。 20世紀で最も重要な、立派なコリオグラファーのノイマイヤーさん、現存する中で、one of ではまくて正真正銘の一番 'the best ' だと思います。バレエに言葉は必要ない、とよくわかるのです。 ノイマイヤーさんがこのように話をすることはまずない。一度しかないので一期一会、大切にお聞きになってください。(拍手) 個人的には尊敬しているんですけど、一日でも二日でも語りつくせないです。きょうの「時節の色」はすごかった。私は初演も再演も見て、今回も見たのですが、今回は鳥肌が立つようだった。ダンサーが成長した時の重みを感じました。この演目はここ(東京バレエ団)以外ではやっていません。 ノイマイヤーさんは日本に関して理解が深い。どんな風にして日本に関心を持ち始めたのか伺いたいと思います。
