Hi again, It’s been raining all day, but I like the rain because Australia is mainly a very dry country, and we have serious water shortage. I love Japan because it’s so different from Australia, so eventually I would like to spend half year in Japan and the other half in Australia.
Sometimes when I’m walking around Osaka I somehow can pick an Aussie (Australian). Usually they are very casual and out going type personality, could be similar to Kansai people.
I like to hear kansai-ben (accent), very casual and friendly way of speaking, like how’s business today? And they reply bochi bochi. Anyway I try not to take my life too seriously, because it's way too short to be over worried.
Tonight I have a couple of private students to teach in Umeda, both are very nice people and enjoy studying English, one of them is very interested in Spiritual locations in Australia and around the world.
Australia hasn’t any old temples and Shrines like Japan, but nevertheless it has many special locations that are very holy and have a very powerful spiritual significance to Aboriginal people, like for instance Ayers Rock was named by a white European (about 200years ago), but for thousands and thousands of years it's been known to the local tribes as Uluru, and has great spiritual importance, and many people who visit there can experience something special about it.
For me though, I look at this human life and feel how lucky all humans really are, although most of us don't see ourselves as special and fortunate....but it really is!! So anyway I want to share more about that later on. I’m off to see my students, we often meet in Starbucks and have a lesson there over a cup of coffee....catch you later.
