東日本大震災によせて【シリーズ10-line】:ピンクのろうそく

(One year ago)

Half year after a massive earthquake destroyed vast area of eastern Japan and atomic power plants, I went to a trip with a group of new friends, and one of the members was from a stricken prefecture. (See Dec. 17, 2011)
Back then, this friend suffered from posttraumatic stress disorder due to the earthquake disaster and atomic power accident.
Fortunately, I was glad to see this friend recovered during we were enjoying the trip together.
But unfortunately, bluntly speaking, sometimes I feel like doubting if the stricken prefecture would be restored
-just by watching the sluggish reconstruction due to political chaos forgetting attention to people at the spot.
The strongest proof is the fact that gradually less and less evacuated people wish to return to their residence.
Whichever there is a hope evacuated people can return to their home town or not aside...
I think the main problem is people at the stricken area and evacuated people are obliged prolonged temporary dwelling .

Then they could make a fresh start; they would need a new field of life, and it would be rather more positive.
I couldn't help recalling a newspaper article on the New Year that an evacuated family saying that they suspect the government and the electric power company in problem must be waiting evacuated people get tired and resigned .
We might need to apologize if we are not responding enough to various supports from all over the world for the past two years...

(Back then)
