I brought a TV set from my old place.
But since then, we've never plugged the wall socket of TV, much less switched on, and the TV set is just collecting dust in the dining room.
Actually, Husband didn't have TV set before he married, and he seems to have no willing of using TV set I brought.
I lodged without TV during my college days, and from 2011, I watched TV two or three hours a week before I married.
Therefore, both seem to be able to manage enough without TV.
So why not just throw away? -But this problem is still postponed unsolved.

I confess: While I was living life without TV for almost one year, I'm feeling that TV might be turning out as unnecessary extravagant object in society.
Today's title is explanation of this proverb.

・Every time I see TV left on at eating houses and pharmacies and so on, I feel the programs, especially variety show programs are alike.
Besides, I cannot distinguish whether these are news programs or talk shows .
If they line up famous entertainers not to make the most of their talent and characteristic style of performance and make good programs but in order to gain viewing late, they are treating those entertainers with discourtesy, aren't they?
I cannot help labeling that they are disgraceful as I see how they treat female casters and talents as decoration -this is applied to viewers' side, too.
・This year, there are many online postings accusing that in case of typhoons, they make a fuss when it's approaching Capital prefecture, but otherwise, they act indifferent.
Major commercial broadcasting stations and the Public broadcasting station that have the head office in Capital prefecture don't think of area out of Capital area as our country, as well as central Panjandrums.
They don't care no matter how many people die out of Capital area.
・At Upper House election in this summer, inefficiency of TV as media was revealed.

During the election period, they don't report inconvenient truth about current regime even if they don't depart from the scope of public office election law.
Their mission is to provide information about manifests and policies of candidates and political parties so that viewers can decide whom to vote or outvote, isn't it?

I've already heard or read more than ten years ago that wealthier people tend to watch TV less .

At the same time, bluntly speaking, it means TV is a gadget to kill time for unaspiring people of leisure and idiot mills
-Except for weather information, really useful information programs, and movies.
Before I selected this weblog to translate, I read and saved texts of an online article about terrestrial broadcasting TV in neighboring Peninsular country;
Due to political biases and irresponsible management, distrust against major TV stations are increasing among general public and advertising revenue is declining, then TV stations cut off production cost and quality of news and programs decline, and they are abandoned by viewers all the more.
Instead of letting the same thing come true in our country, they might as well improve TV to be trustworthy media while significance of TV still remains.

-Me? Inconveniences of life without TV are only in case of natural disasters, especially typhoons, and I cannot access latest music.

Then why I haven't disposed of my old TV set?
Because Public broadcasting association don't consent dissolution so obediently.
Even if there is no TV set at home, now they charge to mobile terminal units with one-segment receiver and car navigation receivers with TV
-While neither of us have smartphone with one-segment nor car.
TV receiver with car navigation system cause distracted driving and terribly dangerous , which is another story for today.
I've found out that I have to prepare scrupulously in order to dissolve subscription -but I wonder how. -This is for different opportunity.
Actually, my old main branch of family wants a TV set we don't use now, so I want to give it to them.
