Tonight let me talk a little bit about something I'm interested in lately...
Have you heard of "Extension Classes"??
Extension ( more often called "continuing education programs") is a series of classes held by many colleges and universities in Japan. They are opened for the public with a mission of sharing their academic knowledge and contributing to the society through providing high-quality education to the public.
Course subjects vary from academic to practical, acquring skills and certificates to more hobby-like ones.
You may want to learn business subjects such as marketing, finance, accounting, antreprenuership and etc. If you are interested in languages, you have variety of choices: Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and so many more! If you are looking for enjoyable time on weekends, what about dance, vocal, yoga, molding, walking, beads, yarning, or aromatherapy?
One of the characteristics of extension courses is that they are fairly chap. Usually courses lasts 3 month to 6 month, and they cost a lot less than going to privately-run schools.
Another point should be emphasized that those classes are taught by college professors!! In other words, you can have college education, whatever you like, with reasonable cost.
Well I highly recommend you to take a look at some of the HP by colleges near your residence. Most of the colleges in Japan provides such programs and I'm sure you will find some courses you like!
