BritPop is ready to peak with Louis XIV
★★★★★Glossed Up Post-Punk With Snatches Of Glam Rock★★★★★
What a fantastic disc.
Like the LUV-Child of Bon Scott & Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie..
This is one of the wildest and most entertaining cd I've heard in a long time.!!
This is also quite Beatlesque . Make no mistake, the overall sound is nothing like the Fab Four . Louis XIV should be huge...
...and if they don't get there, we're getting brainwashed by too much Gwen Stefani
The percussion, the hand clapping, the guitars, the one-liners, the classic rock references, it's all too beautiful, baby. This one's a keeper !!
【Louis Xiv】The Best Little Secrets Are Kept
Sexist Content
Oversexed lyrics & songwriting Rolling Stones ...
Louis XIV sound like T.Rex********
God Killed The Queen
They are unique in that there is some studio experimentation...
... and they use other instruments in songs such as piano, and even strings.!!
This is also quite Beatlesque . Make no mistake, the overall sound is nothing like the Fab Four.
" Finding Out True Love Is Blind " is the straight-up rocker that received a lot of radio airplay...
...and then its one reason a lot of people will be buying this CD.
The self-absorbed rocker " Louis XIV " is a great track..
...that doesn't just sound like the rest of that post-emo-indie-math-prog-rock junk that you get out of today's bands..
Power to these guys for having a different vision.
Dirty Dirty Dirty..and I LUV it
