This phrase is a headingof European ocial forum 2004. I joined this conference in London from 15-17. This objective is international debate celebration and protest for creation of peaceful world.
There are several subjects, which are about stop the war, for global peace and justice, no to racism, for public services not private profit, for equality and diversity, for a sustainable planet and so on. You can check the website from www.fse-esf.org
It costed 20 pounds for a register and then you can get the free travel card and a wristband which you can attend all meeting in this conference. If you are looking for the accomodation for a tay in London, the organization will introduce free accomodation where volunteers offer or cheap the youth hostels.
I attended at some meeting related to Globalization, economical matters, the UN problems. I was really stimulated from it. For example, privateiation or subsidies from developing countries to developed countries cause the squeeze and poverty. We are apt to think those things are very profitable things, but its thought is only on the side of capitalism.
I really felt from this conference is that we have to have interest another world. We haven't done it so there remains a lot of terror. We have to act from now on!! If possibe, Japanese pepople will organize like this conference in Japan, which we invite Asian activist from the Asian countries. Is it possible? Yes!! The reson why is this ESF invited people from the European countries and there was servise that they offered the tranlater for free!!
