My Hearts Desire

I have been searching for so many years to find the one

that I would hold so dear.

I thought I had found the one a few years back,

only to find, that what she wanted I only lacked.

I would have given her the stars if she so desired,

Yet she turned around and said good-bye forever.

Ever since then I have been trying, to find a love

that is worth dying.

Now after so long, coming here to rest for a while.

I have found someone who is worth all the while.

I had seen you recently this past moon,

and immediately wanted to be right there with you.

I watched you sit there with your captivating smile

and fesl my heart start going wild.

My mind slowly began to slip, when I thought about

how I wanted to taste your sweet lips.

Your voice was sweeter than the warm summer breeze

and your eyes more beautiful than all the stars.

I wanted to take you to the heavens and the moon and hoped

thatit would happen soon.

I wanted to get lost in your eyes depth

and feel your heart beat against my chest.

I wanted to hold you in my arms, caress your face,

and take you to my secret place.

I would give up forever to touch you,

and hear your sweet voice say I love you.

I found what my heart has been missing so.

When I thought I had lost love those few years ago.

It was then I realized, I had found the one

who would forever be, my hearts happiness for all eternity.
