シャトーヌフ最高の作り手［2004］　シャトー・ヌフ・デュ・パプ　白（シャトー・ラヤス）

良いワインですが、15000円出して飲むワインとは思えません。

大好きなラヤスですから期待したのですが・・・

濃いワインですから、もっと寝かせて飲むと美味しいのかも知れません。

パーカーさんはお気に入りの様です。確かに蜜の感じや強いミネラルはあります。温度が上がっても美味しく飲めます。ただ飲んでいて楽しくならないのです。

2004 Chateau Rayas Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc

The fabulous 2004 white Rayas Chateauneuf du Pape is a blend of white Grenache and a little bit of Clairette. This is one of the richest, most honeyed Rayas whites I have tasted, and boasts good underlying acidity, beautiful purity, and loads of flowery exotic fruits in the aromas and flavors. It should drink well for 10-15 years, possibly even longer.

The 2005s at this renowned estate, both the Cotes du Rhones from the Fonselette estate and the Chateauneuf du Papes, are cool-climate style wines with some austerity but admirable delicacy and lightness. I didn't think they were among the vintage's strongest efforts, but they are certainly very much in keeping with the style of past Jacques Reynaud wines.

The 2004 Rayas Chateauneuf du Pape blanc may be the finest white this estate has produced in over a decade. Extraordinarily honeyed and oily as well as fresh and crisp, it offers the essence of citrus oil intermixed with hints of spearmint and pepper. This complex, terrific, full-bodied, powerful white will drink well for 15+ years. Connoisseurs should be checking out the 2004 Rayas blanc as it appears to be one of the greatest white Chateauneuf du Papes ever made at this estate.

世界中のワイン愛好家が追い求めていることと、生産量が極めて少ないため、市場でお目にかかることは殆どないワインです。シャトーヌフの白は、グルナッシュ・ブランとクレーレットのブレンドです。
ブルゴーニュの神様「アンリ・ジャイエ」に並び、ローヌの神様「ジャック・レイノー」として知られていますが、現在はその甥「エマニュエル・レイノー」が素晴らしいワインを生み出しています。
