私の働く大学でも昨日から推薦入試が始まりました。出勤前に学食の自販機に缶コーヒーを買いに行くと、最後の追い込みの復習をする高校生の横に父母がいるという姿を多数見かけました。その姿を見て、本当に初々しいなと思うと同時に、私にもこんな頃があったもんだとも懐かしく思いました。今週はつかの間の秋季休暇ということもあり、キャンパス内は昼間は閑散としていて、推薦入試だというのに、なぜか学食までもが閉まっていました。かろうじて、近くのコンビニがやっていたからよかったものの、危うく昨日は昼ごはんを食べ損ねそうになりました。この状況、今日まで続くらしいので、今日はさすがに弁当持参！なんとか食いっぱぐれなくて済みそうです。（苦笑）

The university I work for started its reccomendation entrance exams yesterday. Before going to my office, I stopped by the cafeteria to buy some coffee at the vending machine. As I was walking into the cafeteria, I saw many highschool seniors preparing for their exams for the last time and their parents sitting by them. I thought these highschool students looked really fresh and it made me bring back my memories of when I was taking my entrance exams as a highschool senior,too. Because it's a short autumn break this week, the university campus is very quiet. Although there are reccomendation entrance exams, all the cafeterias were closed,too. Thanks to the nearby convinience store that was open, nor we wouldn't be able to eat any lunch yesterday. This situation will continue until today.　Today I'm bringing my lunch! , so I don't have to worry about eating lunch today.
