虹の橋～Rainbow Bridge～
地上で誰かに いっぱい いっぱい 愛された動物は死んだらそこに行く。
そこは草地や丘があってみんなで走り回ったり、遊んだりできるんだ。
ゴハンもお水もいっぱいあってお日様が照ってて
あったかくて 気持ちいいトコ。
病気のコも 年老いたコも健康で元気になって ケガしたコも
身体が不自由だったコも元通りの丈夫な身体になるんだよ。
そう、ボクらが夢の中で過ぎし日のことを思い出すときみたいにね。
みんな幸せで満足してる。
ただ１つ、みんな地上に残して来なければならなかった
大切な人に会いたくてたまらないんだ。
みんなで走ったりして遊んでるんだけど、その日は来る。
その中の１匹が立ち止まって遠くに目を向ける。
キラキラした瞳でジッと見つめて身体はたまりかねたように震えだす。
そして、急に仲間から離れると青々とした草の上を跳ぶようにして
はやく はやく 走ってく。
キミを見つけたんだよ。
そしてやっと会えたらうれしくてギューって抱き合う。
もう２度と引き離されることはないんだ。
あのコはうれしくてキミにいっぱいキスをして
キミは昔みたいにあのコの頭をなでる。
そして、キミの人生からは長いコト失われていたけど
ココロの中では忘れたコトなんてなかった
あのコのまっすぐな瞳をまたのぞきこむ。
それから、一緒に虹の橋を渡るんだ。

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends
so that they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are
restorted to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are
made whole and strong again
just as we remember in our dreams
of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content,
except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them,
who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes
when one suddenly stops and look in the distance.
His bright eyes are intent.
His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group,
flying over the green grass,
his legs faster and faster.
You have been spotted,
when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling togetherin joyrus reunion,
never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face,
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life
but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.
