They say this is the first café in Japan to serve Viennese coffee topped generously with whipped cream. It’s tucked slightly away from the main street, but it doesn’t feel intimidating at all.
The interior has a charming retro vibe. I happened to be seated near the entrance, which gave me a good view of the customers coming in—and about 80% of them were foreign visitors that day. A young part-timer, who looked like a college student, was doing her best to serve them in English.
The drink that comes with the meal set (¥1,300) includes their famous Viennese coffee. But wow—the mountain of whipped cream on top is something else! Honestly, it’s a bit hard to drink (laugh).
It’s not really the kind of place you drop by for a quick lunch between meetings. It feels more like somewhere you’d want to visit on your day off—to take it slow and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
