久しぶりに、オーランドで一番身近といってもいいほど、親しくしてもらっている牧師に会いに行った。
ちなみに私はそこの教会のメンバーではないが、彼は会いにいくたびにとても親切に話しを聞き、アドバイスをくれる。
また私がどこの教会に属していようが、神様のために使えているのなら、感謝だとさえ言ってくれる。
私はある友達に”私の人生はつまらない。”と言われたことにショックを受けていた。
ただ学校に行き、勉強をひたすらがんばる。
その人生のどこがおもしろいの？ということだ。
私は自分の人格を否定されるよりも、これを聞いてショックだった。
なぜなら、私にとってこの勉強は神様が与えてくれた、大きな大きなプレゼントであり、心から感謝しているからだ。
このオーランドで、神様が勉強も、経済面も、友達も、信仰も全て満たしてくれている。
私にとっては 小さな小さな働きだけれども、大きな大きな神様への感謝。
だから、努力したいし、神様にこの働きを捧げていきたいと心を込めて取り組んでいる。
とっても悲しかったし、自分がまじめすぎるのかなって？疑いや混乱も生じた。
でも牧師先生が言ってくれた。
”つかさが医療のことを話しているとき、本当に輝いている。そして特に呼吸器の勉強なんてものすごく素晴らしい分野だと思う。 よく考えてご覧？ 神様は御言葉に息を吹き込んだでよ？ 呼吸器セラピストはまさしくつかさに与えられた特別なギフトだと思う。”
ちょーーーー嬉しかった！！！家に帰って、 ”息”で聖書箇所をいろいろ検索してみた。
数えきれないほどに ”神様の息”という言葉が聖書にたくさん使われている。
赤ちゃんもこの世に生まれてきて、一番大切な仕事は息すること。オギャーって泣いて、息を吸い込んで、肺を自分で大きく膨らませる。 そしてこの世に適応できる体とされる。

神様！！！息って本当に大切なんですね。そして あなたも、この世にあなたの息を宿らせ、万物を生かすものとされたんですね。
残り一年、しっかり勉強しようってもう一度、感謝をもって思いを与えられました！！
主のことばによって、天は造られた。天の万象もすべて、 御口のいぶき によって。詩編３３：６
神の霊が私を造り、 全能者の息 が私にいのちを与える。 ヨブ３３：４
しかし人の中には確かに霊がある。 全能者の息 が人に悟りを与える。 ヨブ３２：８
Actually I had been discouraged in my life for a while and not been motivated to study either.
The reason was because one of my friends told me that my life seemed to be boring.
Just go to school and keep studying. Doesn't it sound like boring?
I was shocked to heart that because this my life and education in here Orlando is very precious for me. I am so much thankful to God who have been helping me not only to just support my finance but also to nourish my spiritual life or English based medical education.
I have been deeply appreciating to God all the time.
I even felt that this friend denied God's righteousness. Anyway I was just shocked, confused and discouraged.
I did not share anything about this story to the pastor; however, he gave me a great encouragement.
He said,
" I can tell how joyful you are when you talk about medical things. Don't you think studying about respiratory is fascinating? Think! God gave a life into his words with his breath. I think the one you doing now is definitely a special gift for you. Focus on it!"
I was so much joyful to hear this comment from this pastor.
I checked verses which use breath in Bible.
Oh my goodness!! There are a lot! I can not even count!!
Then I realized the most important job the newborn baby has to do. It is breathing!!
He has to breathe to start functioning his lungs!!
Isn't it amazing??

God, you are just amazing. You put your breath into all your creatures and let them alive.
You gave me a great opportunity to study this wonderful principle of our life.
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. ( Psalm 33:6)
But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty , that gives him understanding.
( Job 32:8)
The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. ( Job32:9 )
