動物救護に献身する方々を称えて
Admiring those who serve for animal-rescue devotedly Rescued one and rescued the other, but again need rescue here, and there again... Anywhere and any time, they go and they serve for... Only I can do is to admire them with this story.
In old times, at the foot of Himalayas, a forest fire had broken out. So all of wild beasts had escaped danger in to the shade of rocks. Meanwhile, small birds were going and back between the water and the fire. Though they got burn on their feathers, they were carrying each a drop of water. "Stop it!. It’s useless!", beasts yelled. A bird replied: "I know, only by our efforts, there is little hope of succeeding. I myself know it very well. But, even if it may be possible or impossible, I only wish to put out the fire. Nevertheless the fruit, I can’t stop carrying water."
This is one of Buddhistical fables saying: "The wise is to understand its own ability and to escape a danger, but the wisdom i.e. the mercy in truth is really to be by such the burned birds". (Nov. 11,2001 by Taido Matsubara, a famous guide of Buddhism in Japan)
そして、もう一つのお話を・・・ Might be so impatient and fatigued, but again you do wipe tears and sweats... Thus those all of rescued know your efforts well and thank so much. And, even if they went ahead, they are waiting for you at this side of the Bridge.
「あのお方は天使様だったの?」 "Was That an Angel?"Translated in to Japanese by Tadao Inaba on 20th Mar. 2002
[Remember, until there are none, adopt one!] WAS THAT AN ANGEL?- Author unknown The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching the reunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a whole family would approach the rainbow bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the bridge together. The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look! Something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly. Get over to the path." "But that’s not my owner," whined the pup, but he did as he was told. Thousands of pets surged forward as a figure in white walked on the path toward the bridge. As the glowing figure passed each animal, that animal bowed it’s head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the bridge, and was met by a menagerie of joyous animals; together, they all walked over the bridge and disappeared. The young pup was still in awe. "Was that an angel?" he whispered. "No, son," the older dog replied. "That was more than an angel. That was a person who worked rescue."
