The engine is not much different from my old car (the maroon one) but it's bigger. Same engine to move bigger body? It's like carrying a sumo wrestler on your back and you have to walk your normal speed. Well it's not that drastic but you get the picture, right?
Anyway, I call pale yellow one 'Maro' (classic Japanese word for 'I' used by nobility/imperial family members). My blogger bud, Pika-chan named it because pale color and round figure reminds her of old Japanese nobility/imperial family.
Maro is so slow, it takes so long to get to the speed I want! I slam on the gas but Maro doesn't respond and I can almost hear it whining "KIK, why art thee in such a hurry? I can hardly understand that lowly concerns of yours..."
DAMMIT! I gotta get to work! I used to go 65MPH on the highway but Maro barely reaches the speed limit of 50 by the time I get off the highway! Okay Maro, I'm taking you to the boot camp!
I can't take Maro to a military base, so I decided to take it to my friend's house 65 miles away. How long does it take to travel 65 miles? Well, if you travel 65MPH, then you take 1 hour, right? What kinda stupid question is that!? But if you come to Tokyo, that simple logic seems like a complete joke.
I left my house at 10:00, and I got to my friend's house at 12:40!!! No babe, I didn't stop anywhere, I even gave up on refilling my big gulp! It's stinkin' traffic!
Anyway, I finally got to my friend's house (yet another blogger bud) to have a small potluck party. I call her Yochin, and she runs a web store of artificial flower arrangements and wreaths. She made my barrette and pin that I wore for my friend's wedding, and a candy box for my ailing friend.
Okay, time to eat! I'm starving!!!
Lots of her neighbors are farmers and she gets lots of veggies and she gave me some of the good stuff! Cucumbers, butter beans, green onions, daikon radishes, and check this broccoli out!
It's bigger than my head!!!
On my way home, it took me 2 hours to get home and Maro was surprisingly responsive! I step on the gas and Maro speeds up without a hitch!!! Man, I've been waiting for this!!! Ever since, I hardly see whiny little wimp nobility, instead, I see this hop-on-baby-I'll-never-let-U-down kinda attitude.
So the boot camp turned Maro into a real man! (well, not exactly, but it's a figure of speech...) BTW, did I tell you my butt is getting bigger? May be it's my turn to go into a boot camp...(sigh)
