☆　スワップミートで見つけた詩　☆

ある夜、１人の男が夢を見た。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

夢の中で、彼は神と一緒に浜辺を歩いていた。

彼の人生の様々なシーンが空に映し出される。

それぞれの場面で、砂浜に足跡がついているのに気付いた。

あるシーンでは２組の足跡があり、

また違うシーンでは１組の足跡があった。

ひとつは彼のもの、そしてもうひとつは神のものだった。

彼の人生の最後のシーンが映し出される間に

彼は砂浜の足跡を振り返ってみた。

彼の人生の道に多数、１組の足跡しか無いことに気づいた

それは彼が最も苦痛や困難で苦しんでいた時期だった

彼は困惑しながら、神に尋ねた

『　神よ、あなたは約束してくれました。。。

　　私があなたについていくと決めたなら、

　　あなたはいつも私と共に歩いてくださると・・・

　　でも、私の人生でとても辛く困難な時期に

　　砂浜には１組の足跡しかありませんでした。。。

　　何故、私があなたを１番必要な時に

　　あなたは私と共にいてくれなかったのですか？　』

神は答えた。

『　愛しい我が子よ。

　　私はお前が一番苦しい試練の時も

　　片時もお前の側を離れてはいなかったのだよ。。。

　　１組の足跡しかなかった時期は

　　私がお前を抱き上げて歩いていたのだ。。。』

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach

with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints

in the sand;one belonged to him,

and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life

there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest

and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord

about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,

you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome

times in my life,there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why when I needed you most you

would leave me."

The Lord replied,

"My precious,precious child,I love you and would never

leave you.During your times of trial and suffring,

when you see only one set of footprints, it was then

that I carried you."
