intermittent or persistent asthma, and it is very uncoommon that this leads to progressive or irreversible airways disease. It is important that these children are not over-treated, especially with treatments that may have long-term side effects. Alternative therapies should be considered.
＝ステロイド剤の副作用について＝
The excellent Benefit/Risk Ratio of Inhaled Corticosteroids does not mean that they are totally exempt from the possibility of developing adverse effects.
Indeed, there are many studies in this sense,including very recent publications which continue documenting side effects on the adrenal function, growth, bone metabolism, bone density, the increase of the risk of fractures, the increase of the risk of ocular side iffects, and other less known effects, like Oesophageal Candidiases.
