It is clear that we are just an advanced breed of primates...
我々は1000億の銀河のうちの １つの端で―
on a minor planet orbiting around a very average star...
平均的な恒星の周りを回る 小さな惑星上の―
in the outer suburb of one among 100 billion galaxies.
霊長類の中の 高度な種の １つでしかありません
But...
しかし…
ever since the dawn of civilization,
文明の夜明け以来 人々は―
people have craved for an understanding...
of the underlying order of the world.
この世の潜在的秩序について 理解したがっています
There ought to be something very special...
宇宙の“境界条件”に 関しては―
about the boundary conditions of the universe,
特別な何かがあるのでしょう
and what can be more special
than that there is no boundary?
そして さらに言えば 境界などないのです
And there should be no boundary to human endeavor.
人間の努力にも 境界はありません
We are all different.
我々は皆 違います
However bad life may seem,
いかに不運な人生でも―
there is always something you can do and succeed at.
何かやれることはあり 成功できるのです
While there is life, there is hope.
命ある限り 希望があります
