-Where are you from?
I am from Laos. I have been in Japan for one year for studying a two-year MBA course at International University of Japan.

-What made you interested in this campaign?
Of course, Laos is one of the poorest countries; as a whole, I would like to contribute to the reduction of the poverty. To be precise, I strongly agree with the faire trade concept. Therefore, upon my graduation next year and going back to my country I would like to open a “Café” where sellers (producers) and buyers (consumers) can directly meet. Someone may ask why do not use the Internet in which the communication is more effective. The answer is that, most of the farmers or producers whose feet pose on their farms most of the time usually cannot access to the Internet. However, I hope that the faire trade “Café” will not only be a place where they can meet directly local consumers but also is a link for those farmers to reach consumers worldwide.

-Have you experienced in other volunteer activities?
Yes, for example, Road Traffic Accident Prevention Campaign and rural development activities such as health promotion activities in Laos.

-What contributions can you make for the campaign?
For the current time, I come to Hottokenai Café 3 times a week. After September, I possibly continue to come once a week, depend on the academic schedule.

-How do you think about Hottokenai Cafe?
Even though this is a small Café, I hope this Café will be continued and become a place for selling faire trade products. I would like to see this Café become one of the networks for faire trade promotion.
