Ozawa's secretary, Okubo Takanori, ４７, was arrested on suspicion of violating the Law to Regulate Money Used for Political Activities in connection with donations made to Ozawa's fund-raising organization Rikuzankai, Prosecutors accuse Rikuzankai of receiving illegual donations from general contractor Nishimatsu Construction Co.
During the news conference, Ozawas stressed that a compulsory investigation into the matter was "not deserved," and added, "The fact that the unusual investigation was carried out at a time when the House of Representatives election has become hot, represents unfair use of state and prosecution power, both polotically an legally." - MAINICHI WEEKLY 3/14/2009
最初にこのニュースを聞いたときは、自民党が仕掛けたのか、と一瞬思いましたが、逆に民主党が次の選挙に勝ち、小沢代表が総理になった場合に、手を出しにくいので今の内に動いたのか、とも思いました。
どちらにしろ、元々自民党田中派の政治家ですからね。
