1. About my dog

I have a dog. His name is Domi. He is 4 years old. He is a Shih-Tzu. They weight about 5 kilos so they are medium size. He had lived in my house since he was a puppy. He has pretty face, big eyes and flat nose. His coat is a mix of gold, black, and white. His hair could grow as long as a humans hair. So we have to take him to haircut once a month. His mother is my aunt's dog.

He likes to sleep. In winter, he sleep on the sofa in the living room. In summer, he sleeps on the wooden floor, or on the bench in the garden. Sometimes we drive with him to a big park on the hill and have a picnic lunch. He likes to ride in the car. He and my father wash together once a week. He likes to take a bath. But, He doesn't like being dried with a hair dryer. When we try to dry him he starts running around the room like crazy. But in the end my mother and I catch him and dry him with a towel first and then a dryer. Most of the time he likes to walk around in my town, but not on a hot day in summer.

He loves to eat. He likes cookies,dried meat (both for dogs), apples, cabbages, carrots, radishes, potatoes, and so on. When I am in the kitchen cooking and I start to cut the vegetables he hear the sound and comes running in. Then he says with his eyes " Give me some vegetables!"

At my grandfather's birthday party we heard my aunt scream: " Look! Domi don't eat that! " and when we looked we saw Domi with his face in the icing of a birthday cake. Even though we were angry with him we couldn't separate him from the cake.

But we are careful not to feed him too much. Because being fat is unhealthy. We hope he lives a long, healthy, happy life.

記念すべき初エッセイ（添削済みパージョン）。英語的に見ればぼろぼろなのに、ちゃんと内容を読みとってくれて（職人芸！）笑ってくれた先生は立派だと思う…そのお陰で英語を書くのが、なんだか楽しくなっちゃったんだから。さすがはプロだなあ。
