「ライヴ・エイド」がＤＶＤ化

85年にミュージシャンが集結して開催したチャリティイベント
「Live Aid」が約20年の歳月を経てＤＶＤ化されます。

85年7月13日、ロンドン・ウェンブリー・アリーナと
フィラデルフィアJFKスタジアムの２ヶ所で開かれた「Live Aid」。

チャールズ皇太子と、今は故人となってしまったダイアナ妃の列席の元、
ロンドン・ウェンブリー・アリーナで開幕、
追ってフィラデルフィアJFKスタジアムでも公演がスタート。
両会場は衛星中継でやりとりをしながら演奏を進行させていきます。

日本でもフジテレビで生中継されたそうですが、私は観ていません。

当時のスーパースターが勢揃いして、
ロンドンでは「Do They Know It’s Christmas?」で、
フィラデルフィアでは「We Are The World」でフィナーレを迎える感動のステージでした。

ＤＶＤは約8時間、ほぼ100曲にも及ぶ両会場でのパフォーマンスのほか、
オーストラリアからのイン・エクセスなど２会場以外から中継されたパフォーマンス、
ボブ・ゲルドフの活動を中心に追ったドキュメンタリー映像、
「Do They Know It’s Christmas?」や「We Are The World」のヴィデオ・クリップも収録。

日本盤(WPBR-90451～4・写真)は11月10日にリリースされる予定で
初回限定プライス￥9,990（税込み）で発売されます。

すでに某大型輸入ショップでは10%オフの期間限定特価での
予約受付が始まっています。
初回盤の在庫がなくなり次第、\12,600(税込)の通常価格へと移行してしまうそうです。
