ロジャー・ウォーターズ・バンドが出演することから、
その動向がひそかに注目されていたデヴィッド・ギルモアですが、
オフィシャルサイト で不参加を正式に表明しました。

No David for Live Earth

Just to deal with the constant rumour-mongers amongst the world's media, we would like to state that David has no plans to play at any of the forthcoming 'Live Earth' concerts.
Fun though this kind of speculation can be, it can create unnecessary anticipation or disappointment, and does distract attention from other matters.


ライブエイトで実現したフロイド再結成ですが、今回は難しそうですね。


このイベントは地球温暖化への警笛を鳴らすためのイベントで、
７地域の主要都市で開催されます。


ロンドン、ウェンブリーアリーナでのイベントには、

Razorlightなどが出演。


また、アメリカ、ニュージャジーのジャイアンツスタジアムでのイベントには、

KT Tunstall
Fall Out Boy
Roger Watersらが参加予定。


このイベントは東京、上海、シドニー、ヨハネスブルグ、
リオデジャネイロでも同時に開かれ、
総勢100名以上のアーチストが参加する予定。
