オール・フォー・オリジナル・メンバーズ・オブ・エイジア
1983年の「アルファ」以来、25年ぶりにリリースする新作のタイトルが
「Phoenix」（不死鳥）に決まりました。


以下、ウェットンのコメントです。
Dear me---we'll be into the dead parrot sketch soon.
It has nothing to do with Stravinsky,or Yes,or Mahavishnu---and everything to do with the re-creation of our band,which is,and always was, called Asia.
When you see the artwork,you will agree that even if it was called 'The Beastly Barbaric Balls of Beelzebub",it would forever more be known as 'The Phoenix Album',so we cut out the grief,and went for the only title that truly represents what has happened to us in the last two years.
The idea for the artwork (and its concept) came from the story of the re-birth of the band,so it was obvious that this should also be the title.


このタイトルは、ストラヴィンスキーやマハヴィシュヌ・オーケストラ、イエスとは
無関係のようですが、ジャケットはロジャー・ディーンが担当するようです。
4月にFrontiers Recordsから発売されますが、
3月からスタートする下記ワールドツアーで新曲が披露されます。


そのワールドツアーですが、5月の日本公演の後にヨーロッパツアーが
組まれたことにより、さらに強行スケジュールとなりました。
