クランベリー・スコーン





オートミール & クランベリーのスコーン
(朝食、午後の紅茶、おやつに最適)

【材料】

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup oatmeal
6 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
10 Tbsp. cold butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup buttermilk (or substitute regular milk with a splash of vinegar)

【調理法】

1. Preheat oven to 375F.
2. Combine the dry ingredients, then cut butter pieces in using a pastry cutter.
3. Mix in the cranberries (in this particular case, we were low on cranberries, so we improvized with adding broken Ghirardelli premium dark
chocolate bar pieces).
4. Add the buttermilk and mix until the dough comes lightly together.
5. Either spread the dough on lightly floured surface to a 2" disk and cut into wedges; or lightly press into individual rounds and transfer them to cooking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Brush tops with cream and sprinkle with sugar.
7. Bake approximately 20-22 minutes until golden. Cool on wire rack.
