SNOW IN CAMBRIDGE 31st January 2003 (also the last day of Chinese year of Horse...)
It started snowing middle through my Particle Technology lecture...
It wasn’t very exciting at the beginning cos through these fewyears I’ve been at Cambridge, snowing usually means snow that only lasted about an hour or so...
and its really
annoying especially, cos I’m usu on my bike when it snowed...
It’s 2pm, Andrew was coming up that night so I had to go to Sains to grab some
food...
Do you know how annoying it felt when the snow hit your face??? Its
sooo painful...
like some professional softball player throwing ice ball to your face at the top speed he could manage...
sighs.. My hands were freezing
and with wind + snow blowing from few different
directions per sec, I could
hardly balance.... I thrashed my whole bag
of EGGS onto somebody’s car by accident....
hahaha... the driver was not there... :p ..
Hope the snow will wash away the
eggs >_
The sky was dark and I wasn’t in a good mood at all... It had been raining
like cats & dogs
for the past 2 days straight after lecture... so that day
was equally miserable
when I needa rush to a meeting with the Oriental Studies
DoS of Trinity....
Its the first time we met and I guess I didn’t give him a
good impression at all...
with myself covered in snow and hair sticking out..
face red like chilli.. (cos the snow hit so hard..)..
Anyways, after the meeting
I was thoroughly exhausted but in a way was hoping that it’d keep snowing...
am so hoping to see the whole Cambridge covered in snow... for once.

|
| It was v. romantic and lovely with snow everywhere...Its v. hard to tell which direction you are going if you don’t recognize the builidings... Andrew almost went off the wrong direction.. haha | Would hv been more romantic if it hadn’t been snowing _THIS_ hard >_ |
| |
|
| Having fun... | Am happy... |
| |
|
| Do you recognize where this is? Its the cross over of Queen’s Road & Sidgwick Avenue... | Amazing view from head of Sidgwick Avenue. LHS is the back of Queen’s College, RHS is Darwin College |
| |
|
| Walking up Sidgwick Avenue... Look at the BMW... So sad that I can recognize the "piggy nose" of BMW car even in the snow... | This is between Econ Faculty and Selwyn College, opposite Newnham on Sidgwick Avenue... just thought the lightings look nice there.. |
Had a lovely night... The film ended at midnight.....by the time we went home its around 1am.... Really exhausted, yet having lots of fun... Its my happiest moment since 2003... the previous month had been spent doing Product Design shite and worrying over the never working Research Project apparatus... Tomorrow I will start doing some real work... hehehe... but did I work? See Snow in Cambridge Part 2
