Hi there! My name is Malika, and I’m a half-Japanese, half-Indonesian girl born and raised in the beautiful island of Bali. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been on a journey to discover who I truly am, blending my Japanese and Indonesian roots with the laid back yet vibrant life here in Bali.Growing up in Bali, I’ve always felt the calming influence of the island’s culture, its warmth, spirituality, and close knit community. But as someone with a Japanese heritage, I’ve also felt a deep connection to Japan’s disciplined and rich cultural traditions. As I explore the differences between the Balinese and Japanese ways of life, I’m learning more about myself every day, building my self-confidence and embracing the unique fusion of cultures that shape who I am.I’ve often wondered how these two worlds, one full of tranquil rice fields and the other filled with bustling cityscapes and ancient temples can coexist within me. Bali’s lifestyle is focused on harmony with nature, daily rituals, and a laid-back pace, while Japanese life emphasizes discipline, respect for tradition, and an appreciation for beauty in simplicity.
