Thank you for posting the great pictures. I recently have had interest on Shiseido's vintage perfume products, but since I don't understand much Japanese(I use google translator to read Japanese blogs, websites, etc.), so there is not much information I can get. I wonder if it doesn't bother you too much, could you please tell me more about Shiseido's first three perfumes especially Hanatsubaki? I know they sell replica version of it in Shiseido's store/museum, is the replica version same with the original one or was reformulate for modern taste? and where I can find detailed notes about these perfumes? Thank you very much!!!

I bought this "Kiku" in "House Of Shiseido". "House Of Shiseido" is Shiseido's museum in Ginza, Japan.
Just three days ago, I went there and found "Kiku" and "Hanatsubaki". I smelt "Hanatsubaki" there. I thought it was elegant and gorgeous and a little powdery.
I don't know original "Hanatsubaki". But According to Shiseido's Homepage, they reformulated it.
They recreate scent of "Yabutsubaki". ("Yabutsubaki" is maybe a kind of Camellia.) And they arranged "Hanatsubaki" perfume using "Yabutsubaki"essence.
