☆『かつて愛した女性へ』はフリオのアメリカ進出第１弾シングルに選ばれカントリー・ポップの大御所ウィリー・ネルソンとのデュエットで歌われ大ヒットしミリオンセラーを記録しました。
作詞はバカラックとのコンビでおなじみのハル・デヴィッド、作曲は『落葉のコンチェルト』などで知られるアルバート・ハモンドで、プロデューサーはリチャード・ペリーと大物の布陣が取られました。
ウィリー・ネルソンとのデュエットは最初意外に思いましたが、歌の内容からもベテラン同士で良い味を出しています。
